Story
Luna is a young woman in her twenties with a spark of innocence, but not without wits and intellect. She also happens to be a witch, a trade that has been passed on through generations. However, she knows not to use magic for the wrong reasons, and to always use it within reasonable boundaries. Her life with her black cat seems to be flawless, and her new gift shop is, however challenging, successful enough for her to make a decent living. But trouble is in the air. During a festive parade, she is pointed towards a dead body by a little girl.

A lot of stories
So yes, I am going to leave a review, because a book like this can get noticed, for sure.
First of all, I loved the stories, every one of them. And yes, some were VERY different from others. The cover shows the one about the uhm... is that the witch or the werewolf girl? Probably the werewolf girl. Yes, that one caught me by surprise. I didn't see it coming, and no, I'm not going to spoil it for you. You'll never guess who the real werewolf is. Or maybe you will. I don't know that either.
The one about the witch and the beauty potion was funny. It made me think too, since there is so much power in beauty.
Another story that caught my attention, was the one about the criminal who quit. It sounded a little too easy to me, and in reality, it might be more complicated. But again, as Rachel Swenson seems to do, there was a lot of simple humor in it.
None of these stories had a lot of blood and gore, if any. I think that's another reason why I enjoyed them. It was all about the mystery, the magic, or the puzzle. So yeah, very good. The narrator did great too, and made every story a lot better because of his enthusiasm.

Whoa
That's definitely some good storytelling. The author was into it, the narrator was REALLY into it. It all came together. I love these anthologies. I don't understand why some novels or novellas have to be so flipping long! They could easily get to the point faster. It's not like I feel like I have to spend all this time listening to endless descriptions to start feeling attached to a certain character in the story. Most of these characters in this book were pretty straightforward. And that's what I liked about them.

Booooooring! Bad Narration!
The narrator contributes immensely to the boredom and uninteresting stories. I started two different stories and could not finish either of them! The narrator is awe full and the book, at least the two stories I started listening to, is a no go. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT.

Primitive, not camptivating
I was very disappointed. Stories are very primitive, plot is almost comical. Writing style is almost childish, I had to laugh few time at characters conversation ie " I took phone call from my co-worker from my working place" . Sounds like book was written by foreign author and poorly translated... I would say these stories might appeal to a teenager. Nicely narrated though. Could not finish all stories, after amazement at moronic plots subsided it became too painful to follow plots or listen to it. I will be returning.

Be aware....Children's book...
At best this is a children's book. I wanted to return it as it's quite hard to listen to but it was my mistake for not doing enough research on the author or book.
No sentence is longer than a handful of basic repetetive words. Quote..
"Giro walks home past familiar streets in his neighbourhood. He knows what's hes done. Hes scammed numerous people out of money. Hes not happy. But he has a goal. When he gets home he counts his money again and is thankful he can pay the rent ahead of time. He relaxes and practices meditation for a long time"
It's either lazy or for children. Like I say its hard to listen to but the narrator was pretty good and added a jackanory style to the book. I tried 2 stories and that was it, no more..lesson learnt.
Maybe good for young children...certainly gives hope to unpublished writers.
