Nice twist!

I just listened to the A. L. C for Burning For Chloe.

This was such a cute story! Chloe and Garrett were meant to be.

Chloe has sworn off any man with a dangerous job after suffering a loss. So, of course, she'll fall for the firefighter next door with a revolving door of women.

Garrett is so much more than what he appears as. He's kind and supportive. And would walk through fire for Chloe once he's got his sights set on her.

Sebastien York and Shiloh James did amazing! These are two of my top narrators, and it was such a treat to hear them together!

Burning for Chloe is filled with passion and tension. An fmc in denial of her feelings because of trauma, and an mmc who is who is the total opposite of what she thinks she wants.

I loved the stalker aspect of this book and how Chloe had the feeling she was being watched. She had me feeling like is should be looking over my own shoulder at times.

If you like firefighter romance, twists, and tension, i definitely rec this audiobook!!!

An amazing first responder romance

I was instantly pulled in to this amazing romance between Chloe and Garrett. One of my favorite female narrators, Shiloh James (she’s amazing!) and Sebastian York brought Burning For Chloe to life. You could definitely feel the emotions and feeling from Shiloh and Sebastian. For me this book was emotional as Chloe went through the heartbreaking thing and was attempting to heal in her own way. Garrett was a huge playboy with a revolving door of women, so I loved how Chloe would shine him on. Give me all the firefighter romance because Burning For Chloe was HOT.

Burning for Chloe is book #2 in the Heroes of Lone Star series. I'm all in for a neighbors-to-lovers story and this one was so good! Chloe is trying to start over from a tragic past. Her neighbor has a steady stream of "walk of shamers" at all hours of the night/morning. Garrett tries hitting on her while in the bar where she works, but she's not having it. And neither is he. The friendship that forms between these two is so natural, a first for Garrett and much needed by Chloe. This story gives us a little of everything - steamy romance, witty banter, and some intrigue and suspense. Add in the characters from the previous book (and the rest of the family) and this was a winner! Loved this so much. Wish it had lasted longer!

The dual narration was fantastic. Sebastian York and Shiloh James were remarkable as Garrett and Chloe, bringing their characters to life. The emotions, the slow-burning passion...just the cherry on top of this delicious story. 5/5 stars for this duo!

As their slow-burn relationship unfolds, the story adds a well-placed thread of suspense that keeps you engaged without overshadowing the romance.

The audiobook performances are truly fantastic. Shiloh James brings Chloe to life with so much emotion, strength, and feistiness that you can’t help but root for her. Sebastian York delivers a warm, steady, and charming Garrett that makes every one of his scenes feel grounded and irresistible. Together, they create a beautifully balanced and immersive listen.

If you enjoy emotional healing arcs, slow-burn chemistry, protective heroes, and a touch of suspense woven into your romance, this audiobook is definitely worth adding to your TBL. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
