You Are Summoned

It was supposed to be another boring day at the insurance office for Rico Kline, but powerful forces had other plans for him. Finding himself repeatedly summoned to other worlds as a disposable minion, Rico must face deadly foes, disarm insidious traps, become a test subject, and run the occasional errand for his various summoners. At least when each summoning is over, he’s rewarded and sent back home. But being back home has its own set of problems, and he'll need to grow stronger to face it all.

Rico Kline is finding that the life of a summoned being isn’t an easy one. At any moment he could be summoned to another world and ordered to participate in a battle, be experimented on by strange species, or even babysit a deadly monster. His life on Earth isn’t any easier, as mysterious people and organizations try to track him down for their own nefarious purposes. Despite the dangers, Rico’s power continues to grow as the system rewards his efforts.

Being summoned to random worlds by others is becoming a familiar event for Rico, and with each bizarre challenge the system throws at him, his strength grows. Dungeons, deadly creatures, and powerful foes are commonplace in these other worlds, but what happens when they start showing up here on Earth? Rico gladly joins the other summoned beings to defend his world, but if he dies at home, there is no respawn waiting to bring him back.

Things are heating up on Earth, and Rico is doing his best to keep a lid on the chaos. But it’s not easy to help deal with the threats at home when you’re randomly summoned away at a moment’s notice. From exploring a haunted mansion, protecting goblin trains, to a crooked card game, Rico does what he can to help his summoners that call upon him. The rewards for each summoning are nice, but a new arena challenge awaits Rico, and if he can come out on top, he just might gain the power he needs to keep our world safe.

Earth continues to struggle as the system infuses our world with mana. Creatures and those seeking power lurk on the fringes and it’s up to Rico and the other summoned beings to hold back the tide. With each summoning, Rico grows in power, and that power will help him resist the threats to our world. Unfortunately, there is threat right under Rico’s nose, a threat that might not only spell Rico’s doom, but also Earth’s.
