Es sind Ferien und in Åre herrscht Hochsaison. Das edelste Designhotel im Ort, die Copperhill Mountain Lodge, ist komplett ausgebucht. Doch dann findet das Personal eine Frau, die in der schönsten Suite des Hotels brutal erstochen wurde. Charlotte Wretlind wurde die Kehle durchgeschnitten, das Bett ist klebrig von Blut. Panik breitet sich in der Gegend aus, Daniel Lindskog und seine Kollegin Hanna Ahlander übernehmen sofort den Fall.

Winterferien in Åre. In der besinnlichsten Zeit des Jahres wird außerhalb des Dorfes eine Männerleiche gefunden. Das Opfer wurde schwer misshandelt. Doch der Mord gibt Rätsel auf: Das Opfer hatte scheinbar keine Feinde. Als in einem der umliegenden Dörfer die Frau eines freikirchlichen Pastors verschwindet, geraten Hanna Ahlander und Daniel Lindskog unter Druck. Die Gesuchte ist hochschwanger. Und sie braucht Medikamente.

La Saint-Jean approche. A Lökholmen, une petite île en face de Sandhamn, une soixantaine d'enfants est rassemblée pour un camp de voile. Une froide journée de septembre, l'étudiant Marcus Nielsen est retrouvé mort dans son appartement de Nacka. Tout semble indiquer un suicide. Quand l'inspecteur Thomas Andreasson commence à enquêter, les pistes semblent mener à la base militaire de Korsö, devant l'île de Sandhamn, où le corps d'un autre homme vient d'être retrouvé. Contactée par Thomas, Nora Linde, qui passe beaucoup de temps sur l'île, essaie d'en savoir plus sur cette base fortifiée où ont été formées les unités d'élite des chasseurs côtiers.

Una fuerte tormenta de viento y nieve asola las calles vacías de la isla de Sandhamn.
