In 1958, 19-year-old Charlie Starkweather went on a murder spree that paralyzed Nebraska, shocked the nation, and left 11 people dead. With him when he was captured was his 14-year-old ex-girlfriend Caril Fugate. The question soon arose: Was Caril a kidnapped victim or a heartless accomplice? Up against incredible odds, and with a strong conviction of her innocence, John McArthur remained with Caril and fought for her freedom for 18 years. Born in Italy and raised in Brooklyn, Vincenzo Capone left home when he was a teenager. He traveled with a Wild-West show and fought in Europe during the Great War where he earned a medal for sharp-shooting. Upon his return, he settled in Nebraska where he went by the name Richard Hart. He married, had children, and worked closely with the local Indian communities. He dressed like the type of cowboy he had seen in silent movies, rode a horse, and wielded two six-shooters at his side, which earned him the name “Two Gun” Hart.

Lancaster James is scouring ancient ruins of long lost civilizations on distant planets in search of powerful relics that may unlock the greatest secrets of the galaxy. He is now hot on the trail of an elusive alien race that believed their god was leading them to their "Promised World". Who they were and what they have hidden away is a mystery Lancaster hopes to solve, so he can learn why they disappeared from the cosmos.

For three long years, the American Civil War has raged across the nation, scorching the land, leaving thousands dead, and tearing families apart.
