  • Home Birth Story: From Processing Her First Birth to a 75-Minute Empowering Second Birth | Birth Story Series Ep 3
    Apr 2 2026

In this third episode of our Home Birth Story Series, we sit down with Camryn—a mama of two, therapist, and Reiki practitioner—as she shares her deeply personal journey through two home births.

Camryn opens up about what initially drew her to home birth, including the powerful influence of witnessing her own mother give birth at home to her younger siblings. That early imprint shaped her understanding of birth as a natural, intuitive, and empowering experience—and ultimately guided her own path into motherhood.

We explore the contrast between her first and second births, including how she processed her initial experience and intentionally prepared for a more aligned and empowered second birth. Her second labor—just 75 minutes long—became a transformative experience rooted in trust, connection, and surrender.

A key part of that transformation came through her decision to take a hypnobirthing course prior to her second birth. She also offers beautiful, practical wisdom for expecting mothers—especially the importance of creating space to go inward before birth.

  • Ep. 65 Should women of reproductive age take GLP-1s?
    Feb 10 2026

In this week's episode I discuss how GLP-1 medications like Ozempic, Wegovy, and similar weight-loss drugs are being used at unprecedented rates — especially by women of reproductive age. I share why this trend deeply concerns me, and why I believe these medications pose serious, largely unknown risks for future fertility, pregnancy outcomes, and long-term generational health.

This conversation has been building for months, fueled by client stories, cultural normalization of GLP-1s, influencer misinformation, and growing reports of severe side effects and lawsuits. It’s not about judgment — it’s about history, responsibility, and informed decision-making.

    In This Episode, We Cover:
    • Why FDA approval does not equal long-term safety

    • The rise of GLP-1 use in women who want children someday

    • Historical drug disasters (Vioxx, DES, Thalidomide) and what they teach us

    • Emerging lawsuits and serious side effects linked to GLP-1 medications

    • Nutrient depletion, gut health, and the role of the maternal microbiome

    • Why appetite suppression ≠ true metabolic or reproductive health

    • The risks of using GLP-1s before pregnancy — even if you stop once pregnant

    • Why stopping breastfeeding to lose weight with these drugs is especially concerning

    My Core Belief

Women deserve support that helps them get healthy, nourished, and hormonally resilient — not just thinner.

  • Ep. 64 The DM That Sent Me Into a Spiral — And What It Reveals About Our Physical Health and State of the Collective Psyche
    Jan 23 2026

In this episode I share some really vulnerable feelings that came up after receiving a DM from someone I was supposed to do a collaboration with. I talk about why censorship and a culture of silence for fear of speaking out about anything controversial is harmful to our society, as well as, go into how the connection of politics and health and polarization that's happening is dangerous.

If you ever wondered if you needed to agree with me about certain issues to receive benefit from being in my community or being able to work with me if you weren't "crunchy" enough... please tune in.

  • Ep. 63 Freebirth, Fear & Media Frenzy: My Honest Take on the Freebirth Society Controversy
    Dec 10 2025

In this episode, I share my honest, nuanced perspective on the growing media controversy around freebirth — from my years of birth work and personal birth experience, to the systemic issues fueling polarization, fear, and misunderstanding in the birth world.

In This Episode You’ll Hear About:
    • What freebirth actually is and how it became more widely known through The Freebirth Society’s online presence, podcast, and programs

    • Why the recent Free Press and Guardian articles struck such a chord — and the many thoughts and feelings they brought up

    • My background as a doula and birth-obsessed human and why this topic feels so important and personal

    • Real stories of unassisted birth (both planned and unplanned) and the wide range of women who choose this path

    • How the extreme medicalization of birth fuels an equally extreme counter-response — and why freebirth has grown in popularity

    • Where I think The Freebirth Society movement goes too far, including the tone, dogma, and the concerning stories emerging from their online community

    • Why I believe women were never meant to birth alone and were also never meant to birth under fluorescent lights, tied to machines, on hospital timelines

    • The real data on birth safety — homebirth, hospital birth, medical management, outcomes, and where risk actually lies

    • The danger of women not seeking care when it’s needed, and how community pressure, people-pleasing, and fear can shape decisions

    • The urgent need for a middle ground between hyper-medicalized birth and dogmatic freebirth ideology

    • The systemic issues driving this whole crisis, including licensing restrictions for midwives and liability-driven hospital policies

    • Why women must reclaim their voices, power, and research skills, no matter where they choose to birth

    • My deepest hope for birth culture: more support, more education, more physiological birth, and less extremism on both sides

At the heart of it all, this episode is an invitation to think more deeply — beyond fear, beyond headlines, and beyond extremes — about birth, autonomy, support, and the kind of world we want mothers and babies to enter.

If this conversation resonates, please share the episode, rate the show, or send me a message. I love hearing your reflections.

  • EP: 61 Let’s Get Real About Picky Eating
    Oct 1 2025

In this episode, I’m breaking down the real root causes of picky eating (hint: it’s not just your child being “stubborn”) and sharing practical strategies you can start using today to bring peace back to your table.

    We’ll cover:
✨ The four most common hidden reasons kids refuse food (it’s deeper than “personality”)
✨ Why it’s okay if your child isn’t eating kale every night (protein and healthy fats matter more!)
✨ The two principles that will instantly shift how you approach mealtime
✨ The two “tracks” for turning picky eating around — rip off the Band-Aid vs. slow switch
✨ Playful eating strategies that make new foods way less scary

I’ll also give you my favorite hands-on strategies, like:
🥄 The “One Bite, No Thank You” rule
    🍽 One dinner only — you’re not a short-order cook!
🥩 Sneaky superfoods (think bone marrow pancakes, liver tacos, and gut-healing broth)
🌉 Food bridges to gently expand their palate
👩‍🍳 Cooking together to turn mealtime into connection time
👀 Why modeling matters (they copy what we do more than what we say!)

By the end, you’ll feel equipped to stop the food fights, create more mealtime peace, and help your little one become a confident, adventurous eater.
