  • Food: choice, recipes, sustainability, waste, and intake habits with Cathy Katin-Grazzini
    Apr 25 2025
Dr. Jeanette Gallagher welcomes Cathy Katin-Grazzini, author of Love the Foods that Love the Planet, to explore how we even define food in this decade.

That which nourishes our body comes directly from the earth, our nutrition is what keeps our body in form to be able to keep our soul and spirit housed. Perhaps? What is sustainable farming and crop rotations? How does food impact our green gas dilemma right now? Are you ready to be introduced to an expansive way of nourishing our body with food?

Where does our food come from, how can we pay attention to what we put into our body, and how can we explore other venues to provide us with food?

Looking for new recipes with herbs and spices to spark up your old dishes, Cathy shares how to expand your cooking experience.

Can you define what nourishing food is and use it in the freshest form to absorb maximum nutritional value?

When we look back at the last five decades, the way we eat, shop, and care for our body health has morphed each time the society decided a trend would take us. The onset of fast food so we could work more, and the concept of shelf stable food so we could buy bulk, are a few of the trends we have touched upon.

As you begin to change your food habits, it can cause disparities among the people in your family, your workplace, your friends, and those you interact with. What will you choose for self-health?

Might we explore the excess of food that we throw out, from restaurants to our own refrigerators?

The only way to create a new concept of food and share with others is to share the stories from your life and how to make a different choice. Listen to the show and hear what Dr. Jeanette shares about having restaurants stop giving such large plates and not do the ‘take it home’ concept. Let’s face it, do we really need to always be eating leftovers?

  • Mother and daughter relationships over the decades with Diane Danvers Simmons
    Apr 23 2025
Dr. Jeanette Gallagher welcomes Diane Danvers Simmons, author of My Mother Next Door, to explore how difficult conversations and love over the generations has strapped us as humans.

Today, we are exploring the concepts of sharing past stories, pain, and experiences of decades gone by to release all the soul fragments that so many of women are carrying as baggage of the heart. Listen to us share about being an integral person as the bridge worker for generations to come. We are not here to fix anything but to have conversations that lead to exploring the world with a new set of glasses to look at things in a different way. We no longer are strapped by the outcomes and dogma of truths that were antiquated.

What is our conversation with our mothers? Are you asking ‘why did it happen to me’ for our story with our mothers, grandmothers, and children? How has history changed our relationship with our parents over the past several decades? How can we honor the process of engaging with our elders and young children in the face of stories of pain, violence, abuse, struggle, and hardships? How did the wars of early 1900’s change human beings and not for the better in caring for self and children?

Can you see the past for what was going on in society and understand the choices families made were doing the best that could be done at the time? Perhaps as the generations have evolved we can heal and let go of the judgement from carrying the old stories.

Are you still stuck in the ownership of the relationship and the identities? Can you not see each other as a person of their own making? Are we tired of keeping secrets of our pain and experiences that have taken us to our knees? Is there a way to verbalize the pain and never give it to another person to hold as victim, alone, or disempowered? Has your mother left, abandoned you in any way, and then in older age resurfaced? Now what?

  • What are lifetime secrets we keep with Dan Darwin
    Apr 16 2025
Dr. Jeanette Gallagher welcomes Dan Darwin, author of Love and Betrayal: The Secrets We Keep, to dance within the story of secrets and romance in a fictional read.

A fictional life story that perhaps we dream about is just what Dan has brought to us today.

What is an alternative timeline all about? Is it something to take us on a delightful journey to the thoughts and secrets we hold deep inside?

What is conditional and unconditional love in a relationship over the decades? What if we took a different road or journey when hitting a wall or reaching a fork in the road?

Each chapter challenges the truths, beliefs, and secrets that we hold so deep in our mind and heart for decades because to let them out or speak them would end the relationship. Is companionship, kindness, and support worth risking in sharing a wrong choice or a deep need?

As the characters explore the ideas of forgiveness and regrets, do they put everything in the basket and walk away? Is ending the relationship the only answer when it is a very difficult moment of life?

What is a secret and what are you willing to do to keep it safe, hold it at bay, nourish it to keep it growing or protect the players at all costs?

  • Fear, isolation, and identification in plagues and pandemics with Edna Bonhomme
    Apr 11 2025
Dr. Jeanette Gallagher welcomes Edna Bonhomme, author of A History of the World in Six Plagues: How Contagion, Class, and Captivity Shaped Us, from Cholera to Covid-19, to explore the reactions in society from the unknown virus, bacteria, or plague of the moment.

A look through history in healthcare, pandemics, therapies and treatments that we have explored through the centuries where people were changed through survival of the fittest.

What were the human body events that could have wiped us off the map, but they didn’t? How did people learn more about bacteria, viruses, and human constitution to stop the progression of disease for the moment and heal those who would take a leap to use the current forms of possible cure?

What did we learn from history about the expansion of our human knowledge, collective support, and survival instincts to be present on the earth through eons?

Do you have control over all the attacks from the outside and are protected with all the new technology and knowledge in our current decade?

When something shows up that we do not know about from our past experience and it seems to threaten the population, what occurs first is a deep sense of fear. Next, is the step to contain the problem organism or to sequester healthy people to avoid the possibility of engaging with the organism. Third, is to create an order that all people in the area would be required to follow to stop everyone in their tracks and see what is occurring out there with all educated eyes looking intensely at it.

While there have been plagues in the past and pandemics in our recent past, history and biology will show us that we do not know what the future holds and there will be morphing of things that can affect our health.

  • Spring fiction adventure through history and time with John Amos
    Apr 9 2025
Dr. Jeanette Gallagher welcomes John Amos, author of The Bones of the Apostle, to share his awesome new fiction book for the Spring Season!

An extraordinary work of fiction that takes you to a place where your imagination goes back in time to go on a mystery adventure. Can I tell you what the story is about, no! Can I share that you will find a story through history, adventure and travel; where will your thoughts take you?

Every word in the book has reference to a great work of art, musicians, philosophers, and legends of times gone past. When you see the words, it immediately brings to your thoughts a sense of time, story, or place such as a primer to take you through the door of the chapter.

This book keeps your mind going and your curiosity awaken with every page turning. Can you take your spirit and jump right into ‘costume’ so to speak, and be in the moment of time as if present? This is great writing to engage all our senses.

As Dr. Jeanette shares about this book "it is a primer to take you where your soul fragments have been before and allow you to dance in the ethers" of adventure.

How has our religion, dogma, truths, beliefs, reverence, the church, and relics changed over the decades of time? Do we have a sense of being rooted in this world with stories and truths from legendary leaders of eons before?

If you don’t want to find yourself on the pages of the book but wish to dance and fly with magic and mystery in what of existence, this book is for you! It is not telling you about regrets, take a path here or there, or perhaps what secrets are you hiding to keep you stuck in the reality of human dogma at this time in life. Take the dance, step up, and turn the page to a new adventure!

  • What is pain and how do you navigate your day with Dr. Jeanette and Dr. Ayu Saraswati
    Apr 4 2025
Dr. Jeanette Gallagher welcomes Dr. Ayu Saraswati, author of Scarred: A Feminist Journey Through Pain, to explore what pain is and is not.

What is pain? Where is it located? Where did it come from?

The process of pain; what are we processing through, and how are we flying through our body while experiencing symptoms of extreme pain of body and mind.

We will be sharing today how to clear our slate, lighten our load and color our lenses to navigate this world regardless of our story or experience of pain in the moment of time.

Is pain your copilot? What is your suffering? What is the load you are carrying? What is the perception of pain, or something is wrong that is taking your to your knees?

Pain a mechanism that we comes into our awareness that something is calling us to see it, feel it, and perhaps make a change in our life. Can you live with chronic pain and illness while still smiling at your day?

Living with pain and chronic illness is not asking you to choose one or the other; the smile and maybe say a fake response or the sullen face which shows pain within every cell of your being. What we are proposing is a choice to say I am feeling this today but isn’t it awesome I have the breath of life today. Maybe it is awesome that I can sing from my wheelchair and engage with memories from the past. Even still, might we share with others your present pain and then say you are sharing as it is part of your experience today, but it is not your identity.

Can you allow yourself to shine as the beacon of joy and love as the spirit you are even in the face of experiencing physical or mind symptoms today?

You are so much more than the symptoms that are jumping up today and it is awesome to be the soul that you are, no worries, I can see right through to your heart!

  • Elder brothers share their memoir of supporting each other with Nick and Bob Finamore
    Apr 2 2025
Dr. Jeanette Gallagher welcomes Bob and Nick Finamore, co-authors of Band of Brothers: Our Stories, Our Legacies and Two Jersy Brothers: Stories from Our Haledon Boyhood, which is their memoir of lives well lived.

What is the legacy you wish to leave behind? What are the stories that delighted your hearts, the struggles that took you to your knees and the guides that showed up to support your wildest dreams?

Can we give our stories life in words and voice to share with those who follow our legacy? Decades ago, it was very common to talk over the kitchen table every day to share what was going on with our lives. Time has created changes in the way we engage our relatives, and distance has made heart talk less frequent.

Sports and science have been the paths of these brothers, but they have kept their very tight bond together over the many decades of life. Their values, morals, choices, and experiences were inbred in them at a very young age, and they reminded each other to keep the faith. Their deep connection was so very important as they also supported each other in times of loss and pain.

Can you allow your elders to share their stories and document them to replay when they have found their wings? Are life stories valid and important, or are they just words on a whim to get them out there before the golden doors?

  • Using fiction to give your dark secrets wings with Mark Scott
    Mar 28 2025
Dr. Jeanette Gallagher welcomes Mark Scott, author of Free Will, the last in a trilogy of fiction works that reflect life challenges.

Take a breath from your daily chores and read some great fiction!

This is Mark Scott’s third in a trilogy of life stories that can take you on an adventure to see your life with different rose-colored glasses. Might we allow our minds to dance with a different character and ride into the sunset with an outcome that only fiction can take you to dream?

Can you find a little bit of your soul and spirit on the adventures that unfold within life challenges of the characters? Isn’t that what a great work of fiction is supposed to do, allow you to step into the illusion of your life playing out on the page?

Would you dare start a journal and write your deepest dark secrets on paper? Would you be afraid if someone would find it and use it against you? Perhaps you need to burn the pages after giving your words flight to ink but not trusting the world to keep them safe?

What are the dreams and secrets you wish to share with another that you hold deep inside and never do give them wings? Would we have the courage to air our dirty laundry in full face of all to see and hear or do we make up a story to hid what is hurting us?

How dark is your world that you take to your death bed? Maybe it is time to read a work of fiction and allow your heart strings to release a little fear, one word at a time.
