    Episode Description

In this episode of The Your Level Fitness Podcast, I get into the realities of weight loss plateaus and how to handle them without panic or drastic changes. Plateaus happen to everyone. What matters is how you approach them. If your actions are sustainable and you are staying consistent, then give your program time. Often, your body will adjust and the scale will start moving again without you changing a thing.

I share why obsessing over immediate results can sabotage your progress, and how shifting your headspace to focus on daily actions and sustainability removes the pressure. You will hear practical adjustments you can make if a stall continues for weeks, including small tweaks around food portions and hunger cues. These changes are not about restriction. They are about learning to listen to your body and making slow, steady adjustments that work over time.

Weight loss is not about perfection. It is about building a foundation that supports you through stalls, fluctuations, and long stretches of consistency. Trust yourself, give your body time, and stay connected to the process. That is how you build long-term success and peace of mind on this journey.

    Episode Description

In this episode of The Your Level Fitness Podcast, I talk about distractions and how they influence your ability to follow through on your goals. We live in a world full of constant noise, from endless scrolling to podcasts, audiobooks, and streaming shows. None of these are bad on their own, but when they start to pull you away from your daily actions and weekly goals, it becomes harder to stay consistent.

I walk you through how to step back and honestly assess where your attention is going, how to decide whether you want to continue down that path, and how to choose a different option when necessary. Sometimes that means giving yourself permission to take time away guilt-free. Other times it means recognizing your goals and making a different choice in the moment.

This is not about chasing perfection. It is about observing your patterns, staying connected with yourself, and making choices that support the life you want to build. When you approach distractions this way, you take the edge off the mental side of weight loss and fitness while still moving forward. The process makes sense, even if it has not been taught this way before. And when you consistently apply it, you start building a forever active lifestyle that is truly yours.

    Episode Description

In this episode of The Your Level Fitness Podcast, I share how you can approach goal setting in a way that removes pressure, builds consistency, and helps you trust yourself more over time. Instead of chasing goals and constantly falling short, I walk you through setting minimum daily actions that are just below your current capabilities. This keeps you in a calm, deliberate headspace where exceeding your goals becomes the norm.

We talk about how this applies to water intake, eating produce, workouts, and even stretch goals that push you outside of your comfort zone. The goal is not perfection. The goal is showing up, executing your daily actions, tying them into weekly goals, and stacking success over months and years.

When you build from this foundation, you no longer feel like you are running after your goals. You are running through them. This takes the edge off the mental side of fitness and weight loss while still respecting the emotions involved. And when you learn to crush your daily actions, your long-term results take care of themselves.

Welcome to The Your Level Fitness Podcast, I’m Daryl Perry. No matter where you are on your weight loss journey, this space is for you. If you have been at this for weeks, months, years, or you are in maintenance and still do not like what you see in the mirror, I want you to love the body you have and the person underneath. When you choose appreciation at every stage, you take the edge off the process and build a life you actually enjoy.

Today I explain how we counter the fitness industry marketing that plays on insecurity. We choose to live from the inside/out and we reinforce that choice daily. This is not headspace work without action. You will still build consistency, move your body regularly, and eat in a way that fits your life. We start by defusing trigger foods, keeping nothing off the table, and we keep the staples like produce and water.

You will see why preference based routines beat one size fits all plans. You will hear how to appreciate your before, your now, and your next without loathing any version of you. I also share my background in coaching, adaptive fitness, running groups, and digital programs, and how the YLF self paced resources help you apply this in a simple, systematic way. The decision comes first, then daily reinforcement, and the lifestyle follows.

Welcome to The Your Level Fitness Podcast, I’m your host Daryl Perry. No matter where you are on your weight loss journey, this podcast is for you. If you’ve been working at this for years or decades, or even if you’ve reached maintenance but still don’t like what you see in the mirror, my goal is to help you love the body you have and appreciate the person underneath.

In this episode, I take on two big topics that the fitness industry rarely handles well: imposter syndrome and body dysmorphia. Both are amplified by the way fitness marketing plays on our insecurities, and both can keep you stuck in a cycle of never feeling enough. I share how flipping the script on belief and action can help you shift your identity, and why building self-acceptance at every stage of your journey is essential.

We also dive into how body dysmorphia shows up even after hitting weight loss goals, why your body changing doesn’t change who you are, and how appreciating yourself now can take the edge off the mental back-and-forth. I also talk about the role of therapy, what it means to have a productive working relationship with a therapist, and why addressing the emotional side of fitness matters just as much as the practical side.

Whether you’re navigating food, exercise, or self-image struggles, I’ve got daily resources to help you reinforce your choice to live from the inside/out. This podcast and the YLF Daily Email give you reminders and actions that make the process more sustainable. And if you need more guidance, The YLF Experience is here to walk with you every step of the way.

Welcome to The Your Level Fitness Podcast, hosted by Daryl Perry. If you’ve been on a weight loss journey for years, maybe even decades, this podcast is for you. If you’ve reached maintenance and hit goals but still struggle with how you see yourself, this podcast is also for you. My goal is to help you love and appreciate the body you have and the person underneath at every stage of your journey.

This episode is all about consistency, what it really means, and how to build it. True consistency isn’t about being perfect every day. It’s about building the skill over time in a way that fits your preferences. Whether it’s food or exercise, you can start with what you’re willing and able to do. From there, we build the foundation that makes long-term success possible.

We also tackle food triggers and why eating the foods you’ve labeled as “off-limits” can actually take the edge off the mental back-and-forth. When you remove the finish line and stop chasing quick results, you free yourself to build an active lifestyle that feels calm, sustainable, and enjoyable.

The YLF philosophy is about connecting with yourself, leading with compassion, and living from the inside/out. Through this podcast and the daily email, I’ve got you covered every single day with reminders and action steps that reinforce the choice to live differently.

    Episode Description

In this episode of The Your Level Fitness Podcast, I am talking directly to those of you who have been on a weight loss journey for years, maybe decades. You might be in the middle of it, or maybe you’ve reached maintenance and realized that even with all the progress you’ve made, you still don’t feel the way you thought you would when you look in the mirror.

This conversation is about shifting your focus to the inside/out approach to health and fitness. Instead of chasing changes based on insecurity, it’s about building a mindset and belief system that drives your actions from a place of appreciation and ownership. I share my own experience living with cerebral palsy and how it forced me to reinforce this perspective every single day, no matter what physical changes came with weight loss or strength building.

You are the architect of your own life. You know what works for you, and you don’t need the fitness industry telling you that you don’t. This episode is about recognizing your responsibility, appreciating who you are, and realizing that you already have what it takes to build the life and body you want. When you embrace this belief, you stop waiting for the missing piece and start reinforcing the truth that you are already enough.
