  • You're Not Crazy, Lazy, or Stupid w/ Carol Vincie
    Nov 15 2025

Carol Vincie is a trailblazing entrepreneur who started her first business at 16 and went on to break barriers during her 25 years at IBM. She later launched two successful businesses and helped secure $15M in funding during the Dot-com boom. Fueled by her undiagnosed ADD, Carol’s risk-taking, creativity, and vision have defined her journey—and now, she shares her story to inspire others to embrace their unique strengths. When most people think of ADD/ADHD, they picture a restless boy who can't sit still or pay attention. But for girls, the signs often go unnoticed. They're quiet, daydreamy, emotionally overwhelmed, and slip through the cracks. In fact, the sources used by medical professionals to diagnose ADD/ADHD were designed with boys under 12 in mind. Most women in the U.S. aren't diagnosed until around age 39. This plays havoc with a girl’s self-esteem and psyche. Teen girls in the US are engulfed in a wave of sadness, violence, depression and trauma, often leading to self-harm, even suicide, according to a report from the CDC. In Carol Vincie’s Your Amazing Itty Bitty™ Book: A Parent's Guide to Supporting Your Daughter's ADD/ADHD, you'll discover how to: Recognize the early signs of ADD/ADHD in girls and break free from cycles and misunderstandings about your daughter’s behavior Understand that your daughter’s symptoms are complex Help her build confidence and resilience in a world that may not understand her And so much more If you or anyone you know is interested in concise, illuminating insights into issues related to ADD/ADHD in young females, this is a must-read! ~ UK Neurodiversity Specialist WEBSITE https://add-adhdstrong.com/ BOOK https://www.amazon.ca/dp/1959964771 "The Vital Women of Washington Heights Living in Dutchess County" is brought to you by MHA of Dutchess County and Produced by CMJW Entertainment. • Renewed Hope with Jamie Thivierge
    Nov 8 2025

Jamie Thivierge is a Motivational Speaker and Counselor for women. Jamie received her credentials from Light University, and is the Co-Founder of Renewed Hope Counseling.

Jamie is a certified mental health coach, specializing in the emotional well-being of women.

Let's face it, we are all busy in life and need to take time for ourselves. Dedicating time to focus on your emotions, healing, relationships, self-value and general life issues is essential.

Jamie is passionate and "super" motivated to bring direction joy and truth to your life, and she guides with enthusiasm, inspiration, faith and humor.

"As a mental health coach, I have counseled many women who seem to struggle with their emotions.

As women, we tend to put ourselves on the back burner. We carry many titles, such as - partners, daughters, spouses, friend, parent, and caretaker. These titles can be overwhelming at times and make us feel out of control. We push many of these emotions down or aside, so we can be "superwoman." I created Emotional Beauty to encourage women to express and accept their emotions as a healthy part of their well-being. I want to be your personal motivator, encourage and inspire you to embrace your internal beauty and out of my own personal experiences let me help you become organically beautifully nourished.

    Stay beautiful!"

  • Overcoming Addiction w/ Brittney Ettinger
    Oct 31 2025
On this week's episode, I & I speak with Britney Ettinger, Program Director of Bolger House. Britney’s work is rooted in compassion, resilience, and a deep belief in the power of transformation. Meet Britney Ettinger "I support mental health and addiction recovery because I’ve witnessed the strength it takes to rebuild your life from the inside out. This work isn’t just about treatment—it’s about transformation. It’s where humanity meets hope, where scars become survival stories, and where no one is written off as too far gone." Britney is inspired daily by the raw resilience of those she serves. She’s walked alongside individuals at their lowest points and watched them rise—not just into recovery, but into the fullest, truest versions of themselves. "I believe in second chances, and in communities that hold people up when they can’t yet stand on their own. That’s what makes this work sacred to me." For Britney, this work matters because people matter. Every day she helps others return to themselves—with the support of their communities, their loved ones, and sometimes, a four-legged friend. https://mhadutchess.org/services/comm... • The Engine of Intent with Duane Sharrock
    Oct 3 2025

On this week's episode, Iris and Ivette speak with Duane Sharrock, Author of The Engine of Intent, Educator, Counselor, and Speaker.

    From Duane's LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/duane-sharrock-2865ba30/

"For over two decades, my professional journey has been dedicated to understanding and fostering human potential. As an educator, counselor, and systems thinker, I've had the privilege of developing transformative learning environments for both youth and adults. My career, spanning alternative education, special education, counseling, and school leadership, has consistently revolved around a central question: how do we empower individuals to truly translate what they know into meaningful, purposeful action?

Through my work, including roles as an Assistant Principal, Academic Transition Coordinator, and Special Education Administrator, I've focused on cultivating agency, metacognition, and equity. My advanced degrees and certifications in school administration, counseling, and education have provided a robust foundation, but it's the real-world experiences of guiding students, families, and professionals through complex challenges that have truly shaped my insights into thought, emotion, identity, and purpose.

This deep inquiry into human motivation culminated in my forthcoming book, The Engine of Intent. This book offers a fresh, integrated perspective on why we often struggle to achieve our goals despite our best intentions. It introduces the Quartite Mind Model and Metacognitive Matrix, a dynamic framework designed to help individuals understand their inner experience and enact intentional, lasting change.

I am actively seeking a literary agent who champions innovative thought in the areas of psychology, self-help, and behavioral science. I am confident that The Engine of Intent offers a unique and timely contribution to these fields, and I am eager to collaborate with a passionate agent to bring this work to a wider audience, helping more people unlock their full conative potential."
