    Folks! We don't need the word and we never did! I don't differentiate between the spellings. If the roots of the word is negative then the word will always be negative. We have so much richness that we can claim. We need to move on from this usage. This isn't about respectability politics. This is about US. Wherever you have been historically with this word, do we really STILL need it now? I don't think so and it says something if this is a word you just "can't stop" using.     I will not see the #thunderebolts and #fantasticfour movies in theaters. There are no Black people with prominent roles. Sarah Niles is playing someone named Lynne in the Fantastic Four movie and Wendell Pierce is playing a Congressman. From what I can tell, there are no prominent roles and after seeing #sinners I don't need to further tolerate our marginalization. Since #trump supporter #bobiger took over #disney, there is a noted effort to minimize Black stories, including the Captain America movie with Anthony Mackie where they basically removed anything Black about his storyline and Isaiah, the original recipient of the super soldier serum. It's unfortunate but not surprising. Neither of these movies will receive my dollars. The part that is never brought up is that Donald Trump did not attend the inauguration of President Biden and #mikepence had to conduct the ceremony. The hypocrisy is not surprising but is still frustrating to see.
