    Folks! We don't need the word and we never did! I don't differentiate between the spellings. If the roots of the word is negative then the word will always be negative. We have so much richness that we can claim. We need to move on from this usage. This isn't about respectability politics. This is about US. Wherever you have been historically with this word, do we really STILL need it now? I don't think so and it says something if this is a word you just "can't stop" using.
