In this episode of Susan LoPresti Wellness: Mind Body & Soul, I sit down with Mitch Webb, a health coach and nervous system expert who helps people heal from the inside out. Mitch specializes in supporting clients dealing with gut health issues, anxiety, autoimmune symptoms, fatigue, burnout, and other chronic conditions that often don’t improve through conventional medicine alone.

Mitch shares how the nervous system plays a vital role in healing, why so many people struggle with recurring symptoms, and how a trauma-informed, body-based approach can unlock sustainable health transformations. We dive into what it really means to address the root cause of chronic illness instead of chasing quick fixes—and how calming the nervous system can restore energy, balance, and vitality.

    You’ll also learn:

✨ Everyday signs your nervous system may be dysregulated

✨ Simple practices to calm your body and mind

✨ The connection between trauma, the gut, and chronic conditions

✨ Why true healing is an inside-out process tailored to the individual

If you’ve been feeling stuck in your healing journey—whether it’s ongoing stress, fatigue, gut problems, or unexplained symptoms—this conversation will give you both hope and practical steps to move forward.

    Nov 4 2025

Welcome to the Susan LoPresti Wellness: Mind, Body & Soul podcast — the go-to space for midlife and mature women who are ready to reclaim their health, boost their energy, and live long, vibrant, and purposeful lives.

Each week, we dive deep into natural wellness, holistic healing, anti-aging strategies, and healthy lifestyle habits to help you feel your best — physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

Whether you're navigating menopause, working through chronic conditions, or simply wanting to age gracefully and intentionally, this show is your sanctuary for science-backed insights, powerful stories, and soul-nourishing inspiration.

So, if you're a woman over 40 or 50 looking to thrive in this next chapter of life — you're in the right place."

Margaret Graham, is the artist behind Centering Pendants, a line of handmade, touchable jewelry designed to help people pause, breathe, and reCenter themselves throughout the day. After leaving her career in education in 2016, she followed a winding path through yoga, mindfulness, and jewelry that ultimately led her to create these pendants as a personal tool to stay grounded. They’ve since grown into a mission to help others connect with their inner calm, especially women navigating big life transitions.

She is also host a podcast called The Art of Centering, where she explores the intersections of mindfulness, art, spirituality, and mental health

Margaret Graham, along with her husband Fred and step-daughter Austin, resides in Anderson, South Carolina where she runs her art business from the comfort of her home studio. When she isn't busy creating, Margaret enjoys outdoor activities like hiking, paddleboarding, and practicing yoga.

Margaret's passion for art developed at a young age. Her childhood home was adorned with stunning linear drawings by M.C. Escher and organic paintings by Georgia O'Keeffe, which greatly influenced her artistic eye. Additionally, receiving handmade gifts from her aunts and grandma during the holiday season and watching her older sister draw only fueled her desire to create.

Her art journey officially began after completing four years of art classes in high school, confirming that art was the only path for her. Margaret received a BA degree in Art, with a concentration in ceramics, from UNC Asheville in 2002. It was during this time that she also discovered her passion for yoga and meditation. In 2006, she taught herself how to make jewelry, and in 2009, she took a metalsmithing class. For ten years, she sold her jewelry under the name Gritgoods both online and in galleries, and at various festivals in the Southeast. However, it was her background in ceramics that proved most useful in creating Centering Pendants.

If you're a woman over 50 looking to thrive in this next chapter of life — you're in the right place

Today's guest is Dan Metcalfe. Over the years, he has performed live for over five million people, including lead roles in Andrew Lloyd Webber productions around the world.

His passion for helping others led him to become a Head Coach with the US Olympic Development Program and a Nike Youth Coach of the Year, and he has personally trained more than 70,000 individuals of all abilities and ages.

A defining moment for him was having been paralyzed on stage, during a lead performance, and then fighting his way back from partial brain death to full recovery in 2018.

That experience inspired him to create programs like 60uP, now rebranded as Total Balance Company, which changed the way we train balance and mobility for seniors and athletes.

His work has had documented success with conditions from Parkinson’s and stroke to TBI and MS, addressing the biggest risk: falls are the number one cause of accidental death in seniors.

Along this path, he has trained celebrities like Shirley MacLaine and Bob Eubanks, and authored Get Your Balance Back and Born SuperHuman, two books designed to empower anyone seeking improved health.

So, if you're a woman over 40 or 50 looking to thrive in this next chapter of life — you're in the right place.

In this episode I will talk about the importance of maintaining good bone health. Our bones do so much more than keep us upright — they are living, dynamic tissues that store minerals, protect our organs, and anchor our muscles. Yet for many women, bone health often goes unnoticed until a fracture or diagnosis like osteoporosis brings it to the forefront. In this episode of Susan LoPresti Wellness Mind Body & Soul, we’re taking a closer look at what every woman needs to know about maintaining strong, healthy bones through every stage of life.

We’ll explore how bone density naturally changes as we age, the role estrogen plays in bone strength, and why menopause marks a critical turning point for bone health. You’ll learn about the key nutrients essential for bone building — like calcium, magnesium, vitamin D, and vitamin K2 — and how lifestyle habits such as resistance training, proper posture, and mindful movement can make a profound difference in protecting your skeletal health.

We’ll also uncover some lesser-known factors that influence bone loss, including chronic stress, poor gut health, inflammation, and even environmental toxins that can deplete minerals from the body. Whether you’ve already been diagnosed with osteopenia or osteoporosis, or you simply want to age gracefully with strength and confidence, this episode offers a holistic roadmap to help you fortify your bones naturally.

By the end of this conversation, you’ll walk away with a deeper understanding of how to nourish your bones from the inside out — so you can stand taller, move freely, and stay vibrant for years to come.

Tune in every Tuesday at 9:00 AM EST for new episodes of Susan LoPresti Wellness Mind Body & Soul, where we explore how to heal and rejuvenate your mind, body, and soul naturally.

  • The Missing Link in Fitness: Sticking to Strength Training with Greg Lothian
    Oct 14 2025

Welcome to the Susan LoPresti Wellness: Mind, Body & Soul podcast — the go-to space for midlife and mature women who are ready to reclaim their health, boost their energy, and live long, vibrant, and purposeful lives.

Each week, we dive deep into natural wellness, holistic healing, anti-aging strategies, and healthy lifestyle habits to help you feel your best — physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

So, if you're a woman over 40 or 50 looking to thrive in this next chapter of life — you're in the right place.

So many of us know that strength training is one of the most powerful tools for healthy aging, stronger bones, better balance, and long-term vitality. Yet, the hardest part isn’t knowing what to do—it’s actually sticking with it. In this episode, I sit down with Greg Lothian, founder of Acculete, to talk about his systematic approach to solving one of the biggest challenges in physical health: adherence to strength training.

Greg shares how Acculete helps people move beyond short-term motivation and build lasting consistency, turning strength training into a sustainable lifestyle rather than a passing phase. We’ll explore why most people fall off track, the mindset shifts that make the difference, and how mature women especially can benefit from applying this approach to protect their health, energy, and independence for years to come.

If you’ve ever struggled to stay committed to your workouts—or you’re ready to finally create a strength routine you’ll love and stick with—this episode is for you.
