    Show Notes:
What do we do when we are irritated with everyone and everything? Is this a nervous system response? And can frustration and irritation actually help move us forward?

Our first experience with these uncomfortable emotions often isn’t the best experience and this can lead to us shutting them down further or trying to continuously avoid them. We may have been lead to believe that we shouldn’t show them or talk about them. The truth is though, that if we’re honest about our human experience, we’re going to come across these emotions. The goal is not to avoid, but to learn enough about our body to understand what we need during these moments.

It’s never too early or too late to start to get curious about your body and what you feel. This session will help give you some insight on things that may be supportive as you experience the uncomfortable…and hopefully even help you see that sometimes it’s the key to being able to take a step forward.

Some days we can't positive mantra ourselves into loving our bodies. Ashely and Sara Cate attempt to answer the question "should I love my body every day?" And in no surprise they bring it back to you and your body, illuminating the way to answering that question for yourself. Toxic positivity can lead us in the direction of shame if we can't find it in ourselves to be overly complementary or loving to our bodies. They explore how your personal definition of love can also apply to your relationship with your body. Ashley shares her definition of love which includes, above all else, respect so even if she doens't like her body for whatever reason she can find a connection to respect and by finding that, a path to caring for herself. Sara Cate and Ashley are here to support you in defining or re-defining your definition of what loving your body means to you.

In this session we’re bringing back our friend, shame. More specifically the shame that can creep up around “failures”. Who decided what a failure was anyway? Shame is often referred to as “the great inhibitor” and working through softening the borders to this inhibitor opens up the path forward.

It can be so easy to equate our “goodness” with the ability we have to not mess up, or fail. And when we haven’t been taught how to develop capacity to feel discomfort within ourselves, even the smallest of “failures” can elicit large amounts of shame. Join us in this conversation as we explore fear of failure, the avoidance of shame, and how to step into our lives a bit more fully.
