    May 21 2025

In this compelling episode of The *(Relate)able Podcast, hosts Sherween, Chantal, and Fiona continue their "Man Dem" series, featuring two remarkable guests whose stories of transformation and resilience inspire deep reflection.

First, we welcome Jonathan “Ninja Dan” St. Rose, a cultural icon in Saint Lucia renowned for his electrifying performances and commitment to community empowerment through music and mentorship. After a life-altering incarceration in 2009 and subsequent release in 2017, Ninja Dan has dedicated himself to rehabilitation and service, delivering training across the island in Emotional Intelligence, Conflict Management, and Spiritual Development. Now, as he prepares to return to the Power and Groovy Soca Monarch stages for Carnival 2025, he brings a renewed spirit and vision to elevate Saint Lucian performance art.

Joining him is Peterson Stewart, a 31-year-old from Castries who, after serving a three-year prison sentence for gang-related activities, found a new path through the C-REP programme and mentorship from Ninja Dan. Peterson shares his journey of personal growth, focusing on rebuilding his life and becoming a positive, contributing member of society.

In our "Under the Mango Tree" segment, Ninja Dan delights us with a performance of his latest track, "Juicy Mango," adding a flavorful twist to the episode. We also celebrate Chantal's 52nd birthday, while Fiona and Sherween share their excitement about the upcoming Saint Lucia Carnival 2025, planning to bring the vibrant Voukoum band from Guadeloupe to the festivities.
