  • Almost Followers
    Apr 14 2026

In this message on Acts 19:1-20, Pastor Corey contrasts between being a "fan" of Jesus—interested but distant—with being a true follower whose whole life is surrendered and aligned to Him. Acts 19 shows that "almost followers" believe in God but stop short of trusting, obeying, and living daily in the power of the Holy Spirit. The call is to move from casual belief to full commitment—trusting Jesus completely, engaging Him daily, and turning decisively from sin in repentance.

  • God's Mission: Don't Go Alone.
    Apr 10 2026

"Don't go it alone. God's mission is harder than you think it may be." Acts 18:1-17 God's mission is essentially to extend his love to every person through Jesus, to be loved by his people, and for people to share that love with each other. It seems like that would be well received, an easy task. But when you look at Jesus and the Apostle Paul, you will see that human beings are self-centered by nature and struggle with this, resisting and resenting; not unlike a small child who sometimes resists and resents a parent's loving care. This teaching will help us all persevere in the faithful work of God's mission!

  • Waiting in Athens
    Apr 10 2026

Paul's engagement with the people of Athens teaches us how to engage with the people of the Bay Area. We must see what Paul saw — observe the idols around us. We must feel what Paul felt — allow our hearts to be stirred with jealous love for God's glory and compassion for our neighbors. We must do what Paul did — step into the marketplace of ideas, not arrogantly or defensively, but winsomely and boldly, speaking of the true and living God and calling people to repentance and faith in the risen Jesus.

  • It's More Than a Book
    Apr 10 2026

In this message, It's More Than a Book, Pastor Corey explores Acts 17 and shows how Scripture is not merely literature, but the living revelation of Jesus Christ that transforms lives. In Acts 17:2-3, Paul "reasoned with them from the Scriptures," and in Acts 17:11 the Bereans "received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true," modeling a way of reading the Bible with Christ at the center, with humility and hunger, and in pursuit of truth. From Genesis to Revelation, the Bible tells one redemptive story—Jesus crucified and risen—and when read through that lens, it becomes the engine of real change and spiritual transformation.

  • God Still Guides
    Apr 10 2026

What is guiding your life? We don't drift off course because we lack information, but because we're being led by the wrong things—ambition, reputation, fear, or comfort instead of God. In Acts 16, we see that the abundant life Jesus offers comes from being actively guided by the Holy Spirit—learning to hear His voice through Scripture, discerning His direction in community, and obeying Him quickly, even when He says no. Ultimately, the call is to surrender our will to God's, trusting that the Father who said "no" to the Son at the cross now guides us in love toward life.

  • Jesus + Nothing = Everything
    Apr 10 2026

In our message for today, Pastor Corey walks through Acts 15 to show that while the Church doesn't need to fight over everything, but it must contend for the Gospel when grace itself is at stake. The early Church faced a defining moment where tradition threatened to burden new believers, and the apostles made it clear: salvation is by grace alone, and we should never make it hard for people who are turning to God. The call for us today is to be a church that prioritizes the Gospel, welcomes outsiders with passion, and chooses relationship and unity over preferences, arguments, and unnecessary barriers.
