Waiting in Athens

Paul's engagement with the people of Athens teaches us how to engage with the people of the Bay Area. We must see what Paul saw — observe the idols around us. We must feel what Paul felt — allow our hearts to be stirred with jealous love for God's glory and compassion for our neighbors. We must do what Paul did — step into the marketplace of ideas, not arrogantly or defensively, but winsomely and boldly, speaking of the true and living God and calling people to repentance and faith in the risen Jesus.
