  • 39: Are Your Triggers Asking You to Dig Deeper?
    Dec 16 2025

If you’re curious as to whether you have any stored emotions or trauma that might be causing your illness, preventing you from achieving your goals, or even just showing up as the best, authentic version of yourself, I invite you to take my free Stored Emotions and Trauma Quiz

Why do old wounds come back just when we think we’ve healed them?

In this episode, I’m revisiting a familiar emotional reaction that came back after years of quiet. A missing piece of the healing puzzle showed itself when I least expected it… and shadow work pulled up old beliefs about not being enough, and I could suddenly see how often I still traded truth for peace.

Triggers return to reveal what’s ready to be integrated. Layers only show themselves when we’re capable of holding them. Journaling and honest reflection helped me understand what the trigger was trying to teach. You’ll hear the exact questions that helped me stop fighting the feeling and start listening to it. Sometimes the next level only appears when the old story knocks again.

    You’ll Learn:

    [00:00] Introduction

[02:18] Why old triggers return even when you believe the work is done

[05:46] What happens when a missing layer of healing finally surfaces

[08:33] How shadow work uncovers the deeper story beneath not-enoughness

[11:57] The reason familiar dynamics flare when you silence your voice to keep peace

[15:42] Why triggers reveal where integration is still needed instead of proving you failed

[18:21] How journaling can expose the exact belief running the reaction

[21:09] What changes when you ask what lesson is waiting in the discomfort

[24:16] How to move forward when you’ve processed all you can on your own

    Dec 9 2025

The holidays can feel like a beautiful mess of magic and misery.

Why does this season brings up so many big feelings, from excitement to dread? I've lived on both ends of that spectrum. I've been the person who hated Christmas for years and the mom who soaks up the magic with her kids, and both of those versions of me are sitting at this table in this episode. We're going to strip things back to what actually matters so this time of year doesn't steamroll you.

Holiday burnout shows up fast when you overbook yourself, overcomplicate everything, and forget that you're allowed to say no. Simple, deliberate choices around your time, your energy, and your expectations can turn this from a season of dread into something softer and more grounded.

    You’ll Learn:

    [00:00] Introduction

[02:41] Why holiday emotions feel so intense when excitement and dread collide

[06:58] How past experiences shape the way you move through this season now

[11:36] What happens when simplicity becomes your strongest antidote to burnout

[15:22] The reason saying no creates more peace than overfilling your calendar

[18:47] How tiny moments of stillness can reset your nervous system fast

[21:33] Why gratitude shifts your biochemistry and softens the emotional load

[24:59] What changes when random acts of kindness anchor you back into connection

[28:14] How choosing presence over perfection transforms the entire holiday experience

  • 37: The Real Reasons The Ohio State Buckeyes Won The 2024 CFB Championship
    Dec 2 2025

If you’re curious as to whether you have any stored emotions or trauma that might be causing your illness, preventing you from achieving your goals, or even just showing up as the best, authentic version of yourself, I invite you to take my free Stored Emotions and Trauma Quiz

What is the thing that broke you down, is actually the process of building you up?

This episode dives into the wild arc of a CFB season that went from devastating loss to an unstoppable surge. I walk through the emotional undercurrent of that turning point and the raw, uncomfortable honesty that cracked something open. No guests here, just a story pulled straight from lived experience and what unfolded inside a team I’ve followed for years.

A strong foundation becomes the reason you don’t collapse when everything hits at once. Responsibility forces a reckoning when pretending no longer works. Accountability turns into self-leadership the moment you’re willing to say this isn’t working and it’s on me. Belief becomes non-negotiable when the ground moves and you need something bigger than your own effort to keep going.

Press play and feel what shifts when resilience stops being theory and starts being lived.

    You’ll Learn:

    [00:00] Introduction

[03:14] Why one painful loss can expose the exact moment you’ve drifted from your core identity

[05:47] How emotional awareness turns frustration into a deeper understanding of what’s actually driving your reactions

[07:32] The surprising shift that happens when belief and spirituality start strengthening the emotional fabric of a group

[09:18] What erupts when honesty finally outweighs ego in a room full of people who can’t afford to pretend anymore

[10:41] The reason surrender becomes more powerful than strategy when control keeps collapsing on itself

[12:26] How accountability reignites momentum after a setback that could’ve fractured everything

[15:03] Why a brick-by-brick foundation becomes the thing that holds you steady when plans fall apart and pressure spikes

[22:14] What happens inside your nervous system when resilience finally shows up the way it did for Christie

[26:52] The reason self-leadership begins the moment you can say this isn’t working and my part in it matters

[28:47] How belief in yourself and a higher power becomes the anchor when life pushes you past your limits

  • 36: The Number One Key to Managing Expectations

If you’re curious as to whether you have any stored emotions or trauma that might be causing your illness, preventing you from achieving your goals, or even just showing up as the best, authentic version of yourself, I invite you to take my free Stored Emotions and Trauma Quiz

What if the thing that is ruining your season, or your sanity, isn’t failure, but false expectations?

What can college football teach us about emotional alignment and managing expectations? It might sound unrelated at first, but growing up in a Notre Dame-loving family and later going to Ohio State gave me a front-row seat to the way pressure, identity, and self-belief collide. And after watching my own son play, I’ve seen how every game mirrors the emotional lessons we face off the field.

In this episode, we’ll look at what happens when expectations don’t match reality, how even winning can lead to loss, and why being honest about who you are is the key to growth. From Penn State’s coaching changes to moments in my own business where I had to face misalignment, this episode explores the uncomfortable truth behind striving, stumbling, and starting again. Sometimes managing expectations isn’t about lowering the bar, it’s about finally seeing yourself clearly.

    You’ll Learn:

    [00:00] Introduction

[03:42] How growing up in a football family shaped my understanding of pressure and mindset

[06:27] Why Penn State’s firing of a winning coach reveals the danger of unrealistic expectations

[08:49] What happens when achievement and identity get tangled in performance

[10:37] The real reason even talented teams collapse after one loss

[13:22] How knowing who you are becomes the key to managing expectations

[17:02] The personal moment I realized my own goals didn’t align with reality

[19:44] Why patience, planning, and grace matter more than instant success

[21:18] What great leaders and coaches teach us about flexibility and feedback

[23:05] How to spot when your expectations are pulling you out of alignment

  • 35: The Dark Side of Functional Medicine
    Nov 18 2025

If you’re curious as to whether you have any stored emotions or trauma that might be causing your illness, preventing you from achieving your goals, or even just showing up as the best, authentic version of yourself, I invite you to take my free Stored Emotions and Trauma Quiz

What if functional medicine is just another kind of greenwashed medicine, still missing the real root cause?

Supplements and stricter health routines don’t always bring us closer to true healing. After decades in microbiology and functional medicine, I’ve watched the field drift toward complexity and noise, often replacing pills with powders, not purpose. A recent conversation with a longtime friend confirmed what I’d been intuitively feeling for years: even our so-called “holistic” approaches can keep us sick.

More testing, stricter diets, and endless “shoulds” can disconnect us from our own intuition. The good news is, there is something that drives lasting change. Because sometimes the best “treatment” isn’t another supplement at all. Your body already knows what it needs, you just have to listen.

    You’ll Learn:

    [00:00] Introduction

[03:47] Why functional and integrative medicine can unintentionally harm more than help

[06:12] What happens when health advice turns into noise and “shoulds” that disconnect you from your body

[09:34] How one practitioner’s trip to Europe shattered my ideas of what “healthy” really means

[12:56] The surprising reason some “unhealthy” people still thrive while the wellness-obsessed don’t

[15:43] Why no single diet or protocol can work for everyone, and what to do instead

[18:27] How genetic and biochemical individuality change what balance looks like for you

[19:55] The real foundation of healing hidden beneath supplements and lab results

[21:42] When functional medicine truly shines, and when it crosses into overcomplication

[22:58] Why honoring your own intuition is the most powerful medicine you have

What if the things that frustrate you most are actually guiding you where you’re meant to go?

In this episode, I open up about the unexpected lessons that came from leaving Boulder and moving to Colorado Springs, how what felt like resistance at first became one of the most transformative periods of my life. It started with a single decision made during the pandemic and led to a deeper understanding of purpose, community, and what it really means to live in alignment with your values.

Every uncomfortable encounter, every judgment, and every lonely moment became a message I almost missed. There’s a pattern in the chaos, a trail of breadcrumbs that leads you back to yourself. Sometimes the signs are subtle. The question is whether you’re awake enough to see them.

  • 33: Understanding The Difference Between Shadow Projection and Mirror Reflection
    Nov 4 2025

If you’re curious as to whether you have any stored emotions or trauma that might be causing your illness, preventing you from achieving your goals, or even just showing up as the best, authentic version of yourself, I invite you to take my free Stored Emotions and Trauma Quiz

That person isn’t copying you. They’re showing you something you haven’t owned yet.

In this episode, I delve into the distinction between shadow projection and mirror reflection, and why it matters for anyone who aspires to lead, heal, or simply act with greater integrity. We unpack the subtle ways projection hides in plain sight, how it sneaks into your reactions, and why it’s often rooted in the parts of yourself you’ve pushed away.

This isn’t about blaming or fixing. It’s about awareness, learning to recognize when your judgments are really mirrors, when your triggers are teachers, and when it’s time to take back your power from what you’ve projected. Sometimes the hardest work isn’t seeing others clearly, but seeing yourself without distortion. Once you start catching your own projections, everything changes, especially your peace.

    You'll Learn:

    [00:00] Introduction

[01:48] What shadow projection really means and how it hides behind judgment

[05:36] Why emotionally “informed” people often project the most without realizing it

[07:12] The real reason others trigger you, and what it reveals about your inner work

[09:45] How mirror reflection helps you see your strengths and wounds more clearly

[11:33] The subtle ways wanting validation or being “seen” can expose hidden shadows

[13:02] What feeling “not enough” actually signals about self-worth and authenticity

[15:21] Why overpraising others can be just as revealing as criticism

[18:47] The difference between constructive feedback and projection in disguise

[21:40] How to spot, own, and integrate your projections so you stop giving away your peace

In this episode, I call out the heaviness that’s crept into everyday life and how division keeps us small. Personal responsibility becomes the antidote, not the burden. The six areas of self-leadership hold the blueprint for real change. “As within, so without” isn’t just a saying; it’s the standard. When we protect our energy, choose decency, and do the inner work, the world outside starts to shift. This is where leadership begins, one person, one choice, one act of integrity at a time.
