I’m teaching two classes at the 577 Foundation in September 2025.

    1. Podcasting 101 is Thursday, Sept 4, 2025, 6-8 PM. Cost is $25/participant.
    2. Audio Engineering 101 for Podcasters is Thurs, Sept 11, 2025, 6-8 PM. $25/participant.

Read the FULL show notes on https://www.perrysburgpodcast.com/108

Podcasting 101 is a beginner-friendly class. No previous experience is needed. I will compare a podcast to a recipe and talk about 12 key ingredients. I’ll also go over the answers to frequently-asked questions, like “How does a podcast episode get into podcast apps?”

Audio engineering can be the hardest part of podcasting. A gentle introduction to the topic could reduce frustration and help you get up and running faster. There’s more to audio engineering than pressing “record” and “stop.” Making an MP3 file is the goal. Find out more in my Audio Engineering 101 for Podcasters class. I use the, “See one, do one, teach one” method.

  • 9 PM Routine with insights from Lt. Brenton Duran
    Jul 25 2025

Lt. Brenton Duran from the City of Perrysburg Police Division talks about the 9 PM Routine in this episode. Make the 9 PM Routine a daily habit. Every night at 9 PM, take your valuables out of your car, lock your car, lock your home, close your garage door (if you have one), lock your windows, arm your security system, and leave an outside light on. Crime prevention doesn’t have to be complicated. You just need a routine.

Why talk about the 9 PM Routine in July? According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, July is National Vehicle Theft Prevention Month. This episode was published on July 25, 2025. Perfect timing!

We also talk about the city’s non-emergency number, toilet paper pranksters, and more in this episode.
