  • Resilient Golden Knights battle back four times from two-goal deficits to defeat Leafs 6-5 in overtime
    Jan 16 2026

It was a comeback for the ages at T-Mobile Arena Thursday night. The Golden Knights rallied from two goals down on four occasions, tied the game on a Tomas Hertl goal with just :07 remaining in regulation, and walked off its sixth straight win on Jack Eichel's overtime goal. It has to be one of the top games ever played in T-Mobile Arena as VGK prevailed 6-5. Mitch Marner played against his former team for the first time and was boo'd everytime he touched the puck in the second and third periods. Jack Eichel's game is at an all-time level right now as he had seven points in this week's back-to-back, including four points vs Toronto. Pavel Dorofeyev scored twice and a third goal came off the board on an offside review. VGK entertains a Nashville team that beat the Golden Knights on New Year's Eve and has rallied to get into the playoff race and is a point out of a wild card spot. And we have our WTF segment with fan comments.

    Jan 13 2026

Coming off a career-best five-point game in San Jose, VGK's Tomas Hertl was named the NHL's First Star of the Week. Hertl had 9 points over four games and scored three goals. We discuss whether VGK will make a trade before the Olympic Freeze Feb. 4 through 22. And VGK has a 4-2 record to start the New Year. The Golden Knights typically have a "dry January" one they are hoping to reverse this season.

  • Hart injured as VGK tops Blue Jackets, 5-2
    Jan 9 2026

VGK rallied again from a two-goal deficit Thursday night in coming back to defeat the Columbus Blue Jackets 5-3. The Golden Knights also saw goalie Carter Hart sustain a left leg injury when CBJ's Boone Jenner landed on him. There was no stoppage in play and the Blue Jackets Kent Johnson finished up in possession with a goal, that gave Columbus a two-goal lead. But Reilly Smith scored twice, Jack Eichel scored his 13th goal, Mark Stone continued to have the hot hand with his sixth goal in the last six games and Brett Howden topped off the win late. The Golden Knights have had to rally twice in the last two games against cellar-dwellers Winnipeg and Columbus. We preview VGK's back to back games this weekend against St. Louis and at San Jose. And we have our weekly WTF comments.

  • VGK looks for fast start vs CBJ
    Jan 8 2026

VGK goes back to work in its home barn Thursday night against the Columbus Blue Jackets, a team that also has a lot of injured players. VGK won the first meeting in Columbus 3-2 as they had to come from behind. The slow starts have been hurting VGK according to Reilly Smith. Sometimes it makes it difficult for VGK to battle back from behind when they are chasing the game. Columbus won four of six before a Tuesday loss in San Jose. The Blue Jacket netminder lately has been Jet Greaves who has started seven straight games for CBJ. We have a discussion as who is to blame for the VGK slump. And, we have our Locks and Predictions.

  • VGK rallies to pull out much needed O.T. win
    Jan 7 2026

The Golden Knights rallied from a 2-0 deficit to force overtime on a Reilly Smith goal, then won the game late on a Tomas Hertl power play goal. VGK gave up a goal on two turnovers on the same play and also allowed a goal from the "blue line" according to Bruce Cassidy. Hertl scored the goal on a deflection of a shot from the point by Mitch Marner. Mark Stone scored a goal for a fifth straight game, Brett Howden also scored. It was a game in which the Jets Haydn Fleury was stretchered off the ice with an upper body injury. We have attrition concerns about the seven VGK players that are going to the Olympics and whether they will be fatigued upon return. And, VGK and St. Louis could do business again. The rumor mill has VGK interested in Blues defenseman Justin Faulk.
