The Golden Knights lost to the San Jose Sharks 4-1 Friday and head into the season at 3-4 in exhibition play. Adin Hill was not impressive in the final dress rehearsal. The Golden Knights Alexander Holtz scored the only goal for his team. Holtz is making a strong push to make the roster or be the first callup. The Golden Knights will look to play well tonight vs the Sharks in the final preseason tuneup. Adin Hill said he's hoping VGK wins to take some momentum into Wednesday's season opener. Bruce Cassidy was pleased with the forechecking and effort of the top line in Wednesday's win over the Avs. The line consisted of William Karlsson, Mark Stone and Reilly Smith. Their efforts paid off as Karlsson scored what Cassidy called a "greasy goal" in the third period off assists from his two linemates. It was the game-winner as VGK prevailed 2-1 over Colorado. Jack Eichel had the night off and Mitch Marner was on the second line with Tomas Hertl centering. We also talk about the competition for a final roster spot.
