Ever feel like midlife has you running on an endless hamster wheel of responsibilities while your own dreams gather dust? Is the crazy chaos of caring for everyone else leaving you exhausted and overwhelmed? Are you in desperate need of some self care, balance and reconnection with your most authentic self?

I’m so glad you’re here! This podcast isn't about surviving midlife; it's about crafting a next chapter overflowing with purpose, joy, and delicious possibilities.

I'm Marnie Martin, a multi-passionate entrepreneur, daughter and a hot midlife Mama (literally) and over the last decade, I've been through career pivots, a divorce, and I survived the empty nest, only to have it fill up again. I spent the next several years travelling miles and miles every month to care for my elderly parents and my time and attention was so torn in every direction that I lost track of who I was, and I found myself in an endless cycle of people pleasing, putting out fires and running on empty. I know how it feels to be stuck in chronic overwhelm, stress and chaos and trust me, it's not a pretty picture.

I decided that it was time to take MY OWN life and health back and I worked hard to reclaim my health through radical self care practices, recalibrating my nervous system and setting healthy boundaries that allowed me to start living my life "on purpose" again. I'm here to show you that midlife doesn't have to be a crisis, but instead a beautiful invitation to remember who we are, to rediscover a new version of ourself, or to completely re-invent our life to reflect who we are becoming now-intentionally crafting a life by design that truly nourishes our soul. If you are ready to take back YOUR "Joie de Vivre", then you are in the exact right place!

Each week brings conversations with health and wellness specialists, spiritual growth experts, and guests with courageous and transformative stories that will inspire you to break free from the overwhelm. You'll walk away with practical strategies, meaningful insights, inspiration and the permission to prioritize yourself again.

We were born to thrive and experience life as the delicious feast it's meant to be. Subscribe now and join a community of midlife women who are turning up the volume on their inner voice and writing their own recipes for a life that feeds their soul.

  • 40: Is It Time For A Social Media Sabbatical? with Mari Weullner

A riverside Airstream with zero cell service became the digital detox I didn’t know I needed. With no bars and no pressure to post, the urge to document every beautiful moment faded. What replaced it was deeper: a full-body exhale, a simple meal by the fire, the quiet joy of reconnecting with myself and listening to my inner knowings. That unexpected reset opened the door to a powerful conversation with coach and entrepreneur Mari Weullner, who took a 90-day break from social media to rebuild her relationship with time, self-worth, presence, and connection.

In this episode, we explore the hidden cost of constant connectivity—how social media drains attention, disrupts sleep, fuels comparison, hijacks dopamine, and slowly steals the pleasure of doing things for their own sake. Mari shares how “engagement metrics” once defined her value, why stepping away felt like a small death, and how, week by week, she rebuilt her "In Real-Life" connection: more phone calls, more coffee dates, more presence with her family.

One of her most powerful insights: when her teen realized she wouldn't post him, their moments together softened. Trust deepened. Real connection returned.

If you’ve ever felt the joy drain from cooking, parenting, or travel the moment you start filming—or noticed you're performing your life for the camera—you’ll recognize this trap. We offer practical, sustainable digital wellness strategies:
    • delete and re-download apps only when posting
    • keep Facebook on the laptop instead of your phone
    • move your phone out of the bedroom
    • set a nightly screen cutoff
    • curate your follows to reduce comparison & emotional clutter

If you’re craving a gentle reset, Mari’s five-day social media detox provides simple prompts to help you run your own experiment—no guilt, no moralizing, just honest data: how you feel before and after, where FOMO kicks in, and which tiny shifts return the most peace.

With AI polishing everyone’s highlight reel beyond reality, discernment and boundaries matter more than ever. This episode is your reminder to design a digital life that supports your real life, not the other way around.

If this resonates, follow the show, share with a friend who needs a reset, and leave a review so more midlife women can find these conversations. Your insights help spark the next episode.

Designed especially for midlife women navigating menopause, burnout, emotional labor, and the demands of the sandwich generation, this conversation helps you let go of pressure and create holiday traditions that actually feel good.

We explore why the holidays hit harder in midlife: increased stress, caregiving responsibilities, financial pressure, changing family dynamics, and the mental load women carry without even realizing it. You’ll learn five practical ways to reduce holiday stress—simplifying traditions, shrinking your to-do list, delegating without guilt, spending less while creating more meaning, and setting warm, healthy boundaries.

If you’re craving a holiday season centered around connection, presence, and emotional well-being instead of perfection and performance, you’ll find actionable tools you can use today. Expect grounding prompts, mindset shifts, and simple strategies to help you lower stress, protect your energy, and enjoy a more intentional December.

  • 37: Reverse Engineering the New Year-Minisode #3-SPIRIT
    Nov 26 2025

    Send us a text

This week in week 3 of our 8 part Miniseries on reverse engineering the New Year and crafting your own MidLife Manifesto, we dig into SPIRIT.

You don’t need a full life overhaul to feel aligned—you just need a few soul-level habits that actually stick. In this episode of Life Is Delicious, we’re building your midlife manifesto around SPIRIT—your inner spark, your intuition, your sense of meaning—and translating it into simple daily rituals that help you feel grounded, hopeful, present, and fully alive.

Discover how a five-to-ten-minute stillness ritual can reconnect you to your inner voice without pressure or perfection. You’ll learn how to create a friction-free space for meditation, breathwork, or quiet reflection, plus how a quick journaling moment afterward helps you trust the ideas that rise to the surface.

We’ll step outside together—literally. You’ll learn why morning sunlight boosts serotonin, supports hormone balance, and resets your sleep cycle, and why distraction-free nature walks are one of the most powerful ways to rebuild presence and calm your nervous system in midlife.

To expand your sense of possibility, we add a weekly practice of awe, inspiration, and curiosity—through books, podcasts, music, and stories that soften your worldview and widen your hope. Then we lock it all in with identity-based statements like “I am someone who listens to my inner wisdom” so your actions finally align with who you are becoming.

We’ll also talk honestly about navigating change—midlife transitions like divorce, diagnosis, empty nesting, burnout, restlessness, and reinvention—and how small, consistent spiritual practices become anchors that calm your mind and strengthen your resilience.

If you’re ready to trade autopilot for intention, this episode will help you craft a simple, personal Spirit Manifesto that fits real life.
Subscribe, share this with a friend who needs encouragement, and leave a review with your first “I am…” statement—let’s build your next chapter on purpose.
