  • When “Accountability” Sounds Like Hate: Our Response to Myron Gaines
    Jan 13 2026

In this episode of Ladies of Sosa, we respond directly to podcaster Myron Gaines after he reacted to a clip from our show. What followed was not dialogue or critique—but the use of racist language and a familiar claim of “calling out the Black community.” We take a step back to unpack what’s really happening in moments like these.

Together, we break down the red pill manosphere, its contradictions, its obsession with control, and how it often disguises disrespect and dehumanization as accountability and “truth.” We discuss why these spaces thrive on outrage, how they fuel gender wars, and why attacking Black women is repeatedly framed as community service.

This episode isn’t about trading insults or chasing clout. It’s about naming patterns, challenging harmful narratives, and asking real questions: Who is actually being helped? Who is being harmed? And why is accountability so often demanded from everyone except the loudest voices in the room?

If you’re tired of bad-faith arguments, recycled talking points, and conversations that punch down instead of build up—this one’s for you.

  • Good Bye Julia Movie Review: Racism, Identity & the Cost of Silence
    Jan 6 2026

In this episode of Ladies of Sosa, we sit down with a panel to unpack the powerful film Goodbye Julia and the uncomfortable truths it brings to the surface. Through honest conversation, we explore the deeply rooted racism, colorism, and discrimination portrayed in the film, especially between North and South Sudanese communities, and how silence often allows harm to continue unchecked.

Our panel reflects on guilt, complicity, and the emotional weight carried by women in systems built on inequality. We also connect the film’s themes to real-life experiences in the diaspora, examining how these same dynamics show up today and why addressing them openly is necessary for healing and accountability.

This episode isn’t about blame, it’s about truth, reflection, and starting conversations many of us were taught to avoid.

  • Divided by Design: How Misinformation Fuels Gender Wars in the Diaspora
    Dec 23 2025

Why does it feel like Black men and Black women are constantly at odds online? And why do those loud internet battles rarely reflect real life?

In this episode of Ladies of Sosa, we unpack how misinformation and disinformation are intentionally fueling gender wars across the Black diaspora. From viral relationship takes and cherry-picked statistics to rage-bait podcasts and social media algorithms, we explore how false and exaggerated narratives are shaping how we see each other—and ourselves.

We break down the difference between misinformation and disinformation in plain language, trace how historical trauma and media manipulation make our communities especially vulnerable, and examine who actually benefits when Black men and women are divided. Most importantly, we talk about the real-life impact: dating mistrust, internalized misogynoir and misandry, cultural shame, and growing generational gaps.

This conversation isn’t about silencing real issues or avoiding accountability. It’s about learning how to spot manipulation, reclaim our stories, and move toward healthier, more honest conversations rooted in truth, context, and community healing.

If you’ve ever felt confused, frustrated, or exhausted by online gender discourse, this episode is for you.

Because division didn’t happen by accident—and healing won’t either.

  • The Diddy Documentary and Textbook Toxic Masculinity - Full Review and Breakdown
    Dec 16 2025

In this episode of Ladies of Sosa, we unpack Netflix’s documentary The Reckoning, which takes a hard look at decades of allegations surrounding music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs.

We break down the claims featured in the documentary — including allegations of sexual assault, coercion, intimidation, career sabotage, and the use of power to silence survivors — while clearly separating accusations from proven facts. More importantly, we explore the bigger picture: how fame, wealth, and influence can create environments where harm goes unchecked and voices are ignored.

This is not about internet rumors or trial-by-social-media. It’s a conversation about power, accountability, and the systems that protect brands instead of people. We also discuss why survivors often aren’t believed, why silence is rewarded, and what real accountability should look like in the music industry and beyond.

⚠️ Content warning: This episode includes discussions of abuse and sexual violence. Listener discretion is advised.

  • Current Events Unpacked: The End of TPS & The Rising Fetishization of South Sudanese Women
    Dec 2 2025

In this episode, we break down two major conversations hitting our community at once. First, we look at the fallout from the recent immigration changes and the cancellation of Temporary Protected Status (TPS), and how these shifts are shaking the stability of South Sudanese families across the U.S. We explain what’s happening in simple terms and talk through what it means for people who suddenly find their future uncertain.

We also dive into the Piopion Tribe trend that’s been circulating online and how it has opened the door to a bigger issue: the growing fetishization of South Sudanese women. From being treated like a novelty to having our culture picked apart for aesthetics, we unpack why this behavior is harmful and how it distorts the real stories, identities, and dignity of our women.

Together, we connect these topics to a bigger picture—how policy, pop culture, and social media shape the way South Sudanese people are seen and treated. It’s a raw and honest conversation about being more than a trend, more than a headline, and more than what outsiders choose to spotlight.
