  • Hormonal Hump Day & Crawling Skin

Hello my beautiful Lady Gardens — it’s Wednesday, Hormonal Hump Day, and let me tell you… that title could not be more accurate for me today.

I’ve got my period. I’ve cried about ten times. I wanted to murder my husband because he was brushing his teeth too loudly — so let’s just say I am emotionally unhinged and the day isn’t even over yet.

Now, have you ever had that weird, creepy-crawly feeling on your skin — like something’s crawling on you, but there’s absolutely nothing there?

Or maybe your skin just feels itchy as hell for no reason?

Well ladies, here’s the thing: oestrogen isn’t just about moods, boobs, and babies — it also plays a huge role in collagen production and skin hydration. When our oestrogen drops during perimenopause and menopause, our skin becomes drier, thinner, and itchier.

So if you’re scratching like a flea-ridden cat and wondering what’s wrong — it might not be the laundry detergent… it might just be your hormones.

Happy Hormonal Hump Day, my loves — hydrate, moisturise, and try not to commit husband-related homicide.

Fun Fanny Fact Friday: Feed Your Pussy

Hello my beautiful Lady Gardens and welcome back to another Fun Fanny Fact Friday!

This week, we’re tackling a topic every woman deserves to know: why it’s so important to feed your pussy—especially as we slide into perimenopause and menopause.

As our estrogen drops, our vaginal pH shifts, becoming less acidic. That change leaves us dry, itchy, burning, and more prone to UTIs and bacterial overgrowth. Basically, our once self-cleaning, powerhouse Lady Gardens suddenly need a little extra TLC.

So what’s the winner? Vaginal estrogen. In this episode, I break down how it restores moisture, supports bladder health, strengthens vaginal tissue, and why it’s safe for long-term use.

It’s time to get real, raw, and a little cheeky about vaginal health—because looking after your pussy is non-negotiable.

🎧 Tune in, have a laugh, and learn how to keep your Lady Garden thriving

  • Welcome to Wednesday Hormonal Hump Day
    Oct 1 2025

    Send us a text

Hello my beautiful Lady Gardens, welcome to Hormonal Humpday!

I’m in sunny Boggabri and it is FRICKIN’ HOT — and not the ideal climate for a perimenopausal woman

Did you know the drop in estrogen during perimenopause can make your brain feel like it’s on permanent holiday?

Forgetfulness, brain fog, losing your train of thought mid-sentence — yep, I live there daily.

Sure, estrogen, exercise, fibre, protein + omega-3s can help… but let’s be honest, who the f remembers that when we can’t even remember what day it is?!

Basically, we’re just wandering around in our 40s + 50s like confused Brady Bunch characters — not knowing what we’re doing, saying, or thinking

And in case you did forget… it’s Wednesday.

    Water those Lady Gardens!

  • Fun Fanny Fact Friday - Pelvic Congestion Syndrome (PCS)
    Sep 26 2025

    Send us a text

It’s Fun Fanny Fact Friday – and I don’t know what’s more shocking… the fact I’ve got another wild fanny fact for you, or that it’s bloody Friday again already.

So, ladies… have you ever heard of Pelvic Congestion Syndrome (PCS)?

Think varicose veins, but in your vagina/pelvis. Yep, your pelvic veins can swell, twist, and totally rebel, leaving you with a heavy, achy pain that feels like you’ve got a brick wedged in your uterus.

    🔎 What it feels like:

    • A constant dull ache (worse as the day goes on).
    • Sometimes sharp or intense (often worse on the left).
    • Pain that ramps up:
      • Before/during your period
      • During or after sex (that’s if anyone’s still doing that in their 40s )
      • After standing, sitting too long… or walking (PCS said: “just lie down, queen”).
    • Can radiate into your legs or lower back.
    • Horse riding & weight lifting?

    Why it happens:

Blood is supposed to flow nicely through your veins. In PCS, the valves don’t work properly → blood flows backwards → veins get engorged & twisty. Estrogen and pregnancy changes? Big culprits.

    How it’s diagnosed

    • Ultrasound
    • MRI / CT scan
    • Venogram (fancy X-ray with dye to check blood flow)

    Treatment options:

    • Lifestyle tweaks: avoid long sitting/standing, compression stockings, gentle exercise.
    • Medications: hormonal therapy may help.
    • Minimally invasive: vein embolization (tiny plug in the leaky vein so blood stops pooling).
    • Surgery (rare, but an option).

    Takeaway:

If you’ve had chronic pelvic pain that’s NOT linked to periods or pregnancy — don’t brush it off. Ask your doctor about PCS. You’re not crazy, babe… it’s literally your pelvic veins causing the drama.

  • Fun Fanny Fact Friday -Pelvic Floor - it not just for saving us from wetting our pants
    Sep 19 2025

    Fun Fanny Fact Friday 🍑

Did you know your pelvic floor muscles aren’t just about holding in a wee on the drive home — they can actually make (or break) your sex life? 👀✨

    Here’s the lowdown:

💪 Strong pelvic floor muscles = more blood flow, better nerve activity, and yes… more intense orgasms.

💦 Regular pelvic floor workouts (yep, we’re talking Kegels done right) can mean better bladder and bowel health AND a lower risk of pelvic organ prolapse.

🙅‍♀️ BUT — too much of a good thing is real. If your pelvic floor is overactive (aka stuck in permanent squeeze-mode), sex can become painful, tampons tricky, and even using the loo uncomfortable. That’s where pelvic floor physiotherapy comes in — learning to release is just as important as learning to clench.

The takeaway? Your pelvic floor deserves as much love as your biceps. Train it daily, but remember: it’s about balance, not a constant squeeze. 🧘‍♀️

  • Fun Fanny Fact Friday - takes on a tongue-twister: Molluscum Contagiosum (say it with me: muh-LUSK-um con-TAY-juh-sum).

🎙️ High Tea with Lady V – Fun Fanny Fact Friday: Molluscum Contagiosum 🎙️

This week’s Fun Fanny Fact Friday takes on a tongue-twister: Molluscum Contagiosum (say it with me: muh-LUSK-um con-TAY-juh-sum). It might sound like a Harry Potter spell, but it’s actually a harmless viral skin infection that can cause small, round, dimpled bumps — sometimes even on your lady garden.

In this bite-sized episode, I break down:
✨ What Molluscum Contagiosum is (and why it’s more annoying than dangerous)
✨ How it spreads (spoiler: skin-to-skin, often during sexy time)
✨ What the bumps look like and where they show up
✨ How it’s diagnosed and treated (yes, your doctor can zap, freeze, or cream them away)
✨ The do’s and don’ts to stop it spreading — including why you should put down the razor!

Molluscum might be contagious, but it’s not scary — and by the end of this episode, you’ll know exactly how to spot it, say it, and stop it.

  • Fun Fanny Fact Friday - Persistent Genital Arousal Disorder: When Your Bits Don’t Get the Memo
    Aug 22 2025

    Send us a text

Episode Title: Persistent Genital Arousal Disorder: When Your Bits Don’t Get the Memo

    Episode Overview
This week on High Tea with Lady V, we’re diving into one of the rarest and most misunderstood conditions in women’s health: Persistent Genital Arousal Disorder (PGAD). And no — it’s not as fun as it sounds. Imagine your genitals deciding to have a rave without your consent, complete with throbbing, pulsing, and even spontaneous orgasms… but without any desire or relief. Brutal.

We’ll break down what PGAD really is, how it’s different from hypersexuality, what it feels like, and why awareness is so important.

What You’ll Learn in This Episode:

    • 🔹 PGAD 101 — what it is, when it was discovered, and why it’s so rare
    • 🔹 PGAD vs. Hypersexuality — the crucial difference between unwanted arousal and excessive desire
    • 🔹 Who it affects — why it’s mostly studied in women (but men aren’t excluded)
    • 🔹 Symptoms & sensations — from throbbing and tingling to relentless, unrelieved orgasms
    • 🔹 Possible causes — pelvic blood vessel issues, cysts, nerve dysfunction, meds, and mental health links
    • 🔹 Treatment options — medications, pelvic floor therapy, psychotherapy, distraction techniques, and more
    • 🔹 The impact — how PGAD interferes with relationships, self-esteem, and daily life

    Why This Episode Matters
PGAD may only affect around 1% of women (that we know of), but the impact is huge. It’s debilitating, isolating, and rarely spoken about because of shame and stigma. By shining a light on it, we’re opening the door for more conversations, more awareness, and hopefully more research and treatment options.

Resources & Links Mentioned in the Episode:

    • Cleveland Clinic overview of PGAD
    • Research by Leiblum & Nathan (2001), the first to identify PGAD (originally called PSAS)
    • Pelvic health and sexual health specialists who are working to raise awareness
