  • Finding Reverie: An Entrepreneur's Journey with Courtney Rioux, Actor & Life Coach
    Aug 1 2025

This episode, we’re spotlighting Courtney Rioux — actor, voiceover artist, and life coach — whose journey from a shy kid to a confident performer is both inspiring and deeply relatable.

You may know her as Paramedic Courtney on Chicago Med or recognize her warm voice from Jimmy Dean commercials. But behind the spotlight is a story of grit, growth, and self-belief. Courtney opens up about the moment she knew she wanted to be an actor (hello, high school lead role as a freshman!) — and how she’s learned to thrive in an industry built on rejection.

Through her work with a life coach, Courtney developed tools to combat self-doubt and fear — including one powerful practice: keeping a running list of every win, accomplishment, and YES she’s ever received. When rejection shows up (as it always does), she turns to that list as a reminder of her worth.

Courtney also shares her powerful philosophy of building a "happiness portfolio" — one that’s not solely tied to career success. Because true fulfillment? It’s about nurturing every part of who you are.

  • Finding Reverie: An Entrepreneur's Journey with Amanda Wurzbach, founder of Total Dish
    May 1 2025

This episode features a conversation with Amanda Wurzbach, the founder of Total Dish - a messaging and branding consultancy. Early in her marketing career, Amanda recognized that what she loved to do is brand storytelling. During the 2008 recession, Amanda was laid off, and after already once having to job hunt in a tough market, she took a leap of faith and began Total Dish. Her father always taught her to 'call one person. Tell them exactly what you are looking for and then ask that person who she needs to talk to.' With that "secret formula," Amanda hit the ground running and landed her first client from the second call.

Words are Amanda's superpower. Her other superpower was recognizing that she didn't have to build a successful business doing anything she didn't like to do. Rather, she could build it by focusing only what she loves most - telling a company's story.
