I saw this post that caught my eye as not only it had a great & simple thought, but the artwork that went with it was awesome!! It’s from Mindful Maven - (@mindfulmaven_) and it simply says “good or bad, you will get what you give.” The artwork is a picture of someone throwing a boomerang. I stumbled across Alan Stein Jr.’s newsletter HERE - and he had a post there about something we hear about all the time… The Process. He reminds us that for what we want in life, it’s all about “… the mindsets, habits, routines, discipline, approach, outlook, and ACTION STEPS that matter most.” Those are things that we control and have a say in for ourselves. There are two powerful questions that I need to start asking myself, one in the morning and one at night. I found this post from a former Lion - Dan Orlovsky (former Detroit Lion QB) - (@danorlovsky7), who shared the simple thought: “People who copy will always be one step behind.” HUGE reminder for me of my days as a young student, cutting corners… not doing my own work and I knew at the time it wasn’t the way to go, but I eventually learned the value of doing my own work. Today - it’s about building our own authentic life. We see “copy cats” all the time and we know that’s not the way to go. This is a big reminder for me and hopefully for you, to build our lives on our own dreams and around the people that we love being with.
