    Mar 11 2026

Ajahn Brahm describes why he bows to Buddha statues (and sometimes Jesus’ statues) with a series of stories about the qualities he admires in the Buddha: virtue, stillness, and kindness. He then answers audience questions about choosing a meaningful life and finding meaning in the life we have.

This teaching was given during Ajahn Brahm’s UK visit to Anukampa, at Thames Buddhist Vihara on the 17th of June 2025.

  • Perception of Nature | Ajahn Mudito | 6 March 2026
    Mar 10 2026

Ajahn Mudito explores how our perception of nature can be misleading. We might feel that the body truly belongs to us, or that a scent is inherently pleasant, and so on, illustrating how our senses and assumptions shape reality.

  • Guided Meditation | Ajahn Mudito| 7 March 2026
    Mar 8 2026

Ajahn Mudito conducts an intermediate/ advanced meditation class for approximately one hour. Ajahn Mudito gives the analogy of making body sensations and thoughts in the mind "static" in meditation - making yourself comfortable enough, with a kind, accepting attitude, so that they fade away like static noise. Ajahn teaches that how our mind is in meditation is a reflection of how we have been living our lives, and indicates where we might be able to develop more kindness.
