    The sub 10 hour IRONMAN is considered to be the holy grail of triathlon by many. A true test of endurance and speed, finishing in under 10 hours is no mere stroke of luck or genetics, it requires years of hard work.

    In this week's episode I look at the differences between and IRONMAN and 70,3, to help you understand which is the better distance for you to target in 2026.

    While there is no hard and fast answer on the best distance, I wanted to challenge the idea that the IRONMAN was the superior event simply because it is longer, and when someone may want to consider focusing on a 70.3, whether they are new to the sport or have already finished Ironman events.
