  • Episode 160: The Terrifying Jiangshi (Jing Shi)
    Apr 15 2026

This episode of 4 Ever Paranormal jumps into perhaps one of the most bizarre figures within Chinese folklore - the Jiangshi. The Jiangshi does not represent an elegant vampire as in the west, but rather an unnatural and frightening “hopping corpse,” without a wistful spirit. The Jiangshi's body is animated by the energy of “qi,” the life force, and not due to its desire for blood.

We look at the origin of this belief through actual historic means of transporting bodies over long distances to metaphysical belief systems based on Taoist views of how a spirit can leave its body; this exploration causes us to be unable to tell whether one has experienced something or whether it is an explanation of an experience. Were these experiences purely based on cultural factors or were there truly things where people had an authentic encounter?

The episode presents an ambiguous situation; it you into an in-between land of myth, history, and collective experience. The concept of the dead continually moving around is almost quite plausible.

  • Episode 159: How Superstitions Shape Our Reality
    Apr 8 2026

Most people say they don’t believe in superstition, but that confidence tends to slip right before something matters. There’s always that small pause. A word avoided, a habit repeated, a pattern followed without thinking too hard about it. Not because people are convinced it works, but because they’re not willing to find out what happens if they stop. This episode looks at that space between logic and instinct, where behavior sticks even when belief doesn’t fully hold.

There are grounded reasons for it. The mind looks for control, builds patterns, and holds onto anything that seems to help. That alone explains a lot. But not all of it. Superstitions show up across cultures in similar forms, and they persist even when people claim they don’t believe in them. At some point the question shifts. If there’s even a small chance those actions matter, even indirectly, do you really want to ignore them? Most people already know their answer.

  • Episode 158: The Cape Girardeau UFO Crash
    Apr 1 2026

In 1941, a quiet night outside Cape Girardeau, Missouri took a strange turn when Reverend William Huffman was called to pray over victims of what authorities initially believed was a plane crash. Instead, according to the story later passed down through his family, he arrived at a scene involving a damaged disk-shaped craft and three small bodies unlike anything he had ever seen. A local newspaper photographer, Garland D. Fronabarger of the Southeast Missourian, was reportedly present and may have taken a photograph before the military arrived and secured the site. No article ever appeared in the local paper, and the alleged photograph has never surfaced. Decades later the story emerged through Huffman’s granddaughter and entered UFO research circles as one of the earliest reported crash cases in the United States, predating Roswell by six years. Whether remembered history, misunderstood event, or something stranger, the Cape Girardeau incident remains one of the most intriguing and little-known stories in American UFO lore.

  • Episode 157: Chestnut Ridge: A Tapestry of High Strangeness
    Mar 25 2026

Chestnut Ridge in southwestern Pennsylvania has quietly become one of the most concentrated hotspots of high strangeness in the United States. From the 1965 Kecksburg UFO crash and reported military recovery, to the intense 1970s wave of low-level UFO sightings, to documented Bigfoot encounters and upright canine “Dogman” reports, this ridge has produced layered anomalies for decades.

Why does one geographic corridor generate so many different types of unexplained phenomena?

In this episode of 4 Ever Paranormal, we examine the Kecksburg incident, the surge of structured UFO activity along the Laurel Highlands, the overlap with Bigfoot investigations, and reported Dogman encounters along rural Pennsylvania roads. We explore the possibility of geological influence, mining history, and environmental factors without forcing a conclusion.

One ridge. Multiple categories of high strangeness. The question remains open.

  • Episode 156: The mysterious Realm of the Leprechaun
    Mar 18 2026

This week on 4 Ever Paranormal, we take a step back from the cartoon version of the leprechaun and look at where the story actually comes from. Before the green suits and pots of gold, there was a solitary figure in Irish folklore. A small shoemaker. A keeper of hidden treasure. A being tied to the land and the old fairy mounds.

We talk about the origins of the name, the shift from red coats to green hats, the meaning behind the rainbow myth, and how Irish cultural identity reshaped the leprechaun over time. And we sit for a moment with a quieter question. What if these stories were never meant to be cute? What if they were reminders about boundaries and unseen neighbors?

No dark turns this time. Just folklore, history, and the thin edge of mystery that still lingers in certain places.

  • Episode 155: The Psychological Impact of Curses
    Mar 11 2026

What does it mean when someone says you’ve been “worked on”? Across cultures and traditions including Vodou, Hoodoo, Obeah, and Santería, there exists a shared understanding that spiritual force can be directed with intention. In this episode, we explore the internal experience of believing you’ve been spiritually targeted. Not as spectacle, not as caricature, but as a psychological and emotional reality that has shaped lives for centuries. When someone believes harm has been initiated against them, the body responds. Sleep changes. Perception shifts. Coincidence feels personal. Whether curses operate through spirit, suggestion, or something in between, the fear of unseen intention remains one of the most unsettling human experiences. Tonight we sit in that ambiguity.

  • Episode 154: The Global Legend of Bigfoot
    Mar 4 2026

Across continents and across centuries, people have described something standing at the edge of the wild. It has many names. Sasquatch. Bigfoot. Yeti. Orang Pendek. Almas. Yowie. Woodwose. And within the United States alone, dozens more depending on the region. Different languages. Different terrain. Different cultures. Yet the description keeps circling back to the same basic shape.

In this episode of 4 Ever Paranormal, we take a careful look at that pattern. We go back to 1958 and the Bluff Creek footprints, when Jerry Crew carried plaster casts into the Humboldt Times and reporter Andrew Genzoli used the word “Bigfoot” in print. A simple newspaper term that eventually swallowed older, local traditions. From there we move outward. Southeast Asia. The Caucasus. The Himalayas. Australia. Europe. Each place has its own version, its own name, its own setting. Jungle. Mountain. Swamp. Forest. But the figure remains upright. Human-like. Reclusive. Always just outside certainty.

We also talk about the differences. Regional traits. Track variations. How evolution would interpret isolation if this were biological. And how anecdotal evidence accumulates differently than laboratory data, yet still builds a body of ongoing research. The subject remains outside confirmed science, but it has never quite disappeared either.

In the end, this is not an episode about proving anything. It is about a story that refuses to go away. One land. Many names. A recurring encounter that continues to surface wherever people step into deep wilderness and come back unsettled.

  • Episode 153: The Undead Strigoi
    Feb 25 2026

Long before vampires became entertainment, villages across Romania and the Balkans feared something closer, quieter, and far more personal. Strigoi were believed to be the dead who returned to harm the living. Not strangers. Not creatures from distant places. Family members, neighbors, people who had only recently been buried.

In this episode of 4 Ever Paranormal, we explore the folklore of Strigoi as it was lived, not romanticized. We talk about the two types, the dead known as Strigoi Morti and the living believed to carry the condition, Strigoi Vii. We look at the kinds of deaths that were thought to create risk, why certain graves were treated differently, and the extreme measures villagers believed were necessary to stop the dead from returning.

We examine the repeating patterns that made people act. Illness following a funeral. Exhaustion that settled into the same household. Harm that stayed close to the grave instead of spreading outward. We describe what Strigoi were believed to look like when graves were opened, and how recognition, not spectacle, fueled fear.

As the episode moves forward, we trace how these deeply local beliefs began to overlap with other traditions from Slavic, Hungarian, and Greek folklore. Not everything became a vampire. Some figures were closer to ghouls or revenants. Over time, details blended, stories traveled, and something older and more personal slowly hardened into something more familiar.

We also discuss why these beliefs never fully disappeared. Even today, altered graves are still being discovered where bodies were interfered with because someone believed the dead would not stay buried. The fear left marks in the ground, and those marks are still there.
