When the infection hit the world, it was originally airborne, impervious to any filters or barriers. Initially 80 to 90 percent of the world’s population, those with RH positive blood, was infected. The disease was then further spread by the infected through transmission of bodily fluids, usually through bites and scratches.

Major population centers quickly fell to the infected; only those areas with sparse populations were able to mount a defense against the infected. The remaining survivors began to band together in pockets in small towns and the countryside.

The largest contingent of survivors were those evacuated to the desolate state of Wyoming. Military units and civilians answered the call from Air Force Major General Peters, senior surviving general of the entire military.

From the small town of Douglas in the center of Wyoming, the military has begun to clear out the infected as the first step to recover the country.

The next vital step is to link up and organize with survivors throughout the country to setup outposts while there are still survivors. Freshly minted Lt Caleb White will lead the first mission to establish contact with a band of survivors in Arizona. Unfortunately, the infected are only one of the many dangers in the apocalypse.

Great story. Poor narration.

I really Enjoyed the 1st installment in this series, so I was greatly looking forward to this the 2nd book. Overall, the storyline continues to be great. However the Narrator Spoiled this story for me. The narrator read the story in a slow monotone voice. Even intense action segments sounded dull and boring, as if the narrator is about to fall asleep.

another good book in the series

really enjoyed another book in this series, after book one's high bar this book didn't disappoint. always a new twist and more poignant moments, really enjoyable. although there were technical issues missing paragraphs? or at least missing sentences.

Infected World book 2, Zombie Lt. - Super!

2nd Book in a series Infected World, new spin on a Zombie Apocalypse, loved the narrator.

The story picks up from the 1s book Zombie Airman and takes place in a new infected world in the US. Very well written descriptions of various problems and encounters that people that survived must face. Great combat scenes. Loved Caleb and Grits. Zombie Lieutenant is not a normal zombie, he kept his mind, and must be careful and prevent infecting people that he meets. He possesses new abilities that put him apart from the rest. The struggle to save the world is on. Great story overall.

Narrator did an awesome job capturing the urgency, fear, and emotions of the characters. I loved the voice, it was not overly gruff and was easy to listen.

There were no issues with the book, someone mentioned that there was an issue with an audio file or something was missing. My copy was perfect. Perhaps there was an issue earlier but Audible people have fixed it right away.

Hope that the new chapter will be released soon.

Good story bad narration

Narrator has monotone voice throughout, doesn’t distinguish between characters so it was confusing who was speaking. As for the story, too many people to keep up with. The main two characters, infected but immune, are good, but the only things keeping me listening basically. Also some of the writing is of what people say, isn’t the way people talk, even the military ones. Last thing, the alien bit piece seemed a bit much. Not sure I’m interested enough in the two main characters to get the sequel.

Loved it!

Fun Zombie Apocalypse Audiobook - great characters (Especially Grits!!). Narrator did a great job. I am looking forward to book 3!
