highly reccomend for a deeper understanding of dogs

i have read hundreds of dog books, dogs are my passion. this is one of the best and many of the original concepts I have reflected on. Mr. Behan has a great understanding of dogs: he helped me understand dogs on a more spirtual level, it opened my eyes to nuances of our communication, This is not a obdience or training book, there are enough of those, but if you are interested in improving your relationship with dogs, understanding what respect is from a dog’s point of view, learning from Mr. Behan’s extensive real life experience, a must read or listen to, I loved this book, and I understood more about my mirror, mirroring and dog love, thanks for a much needed voice to open my mind about what dogs feel, need and want!

Great insight to dogs training us to heal

I never had dogs. Until I had three. Big. Untrained puppies. Overwhelming and not understanding how to manage their energies, i imposed my programming. This audiobook helped me see how I transferred my pain to them. And they transferred it right in back to me. Brilliant book. And now… to transform.

A must for all dog owners

So enlightening! It will make you take a look in the mirror! If you want to reflectivity understand your dog's behavior this is a must read.

Liked to Informative Story

I like the informative story about dogs it taught me a lot, however I could barley get through the narrator. Apologies my dude I did not like the sound of his voice it sounded too TED Talk Snooty Professor for a story about dogs.

Fascinating Theory

It took me a chapter to relax into his theory but I definitely found myself drinking the koolaid. The author makes some interesting correlations between how dogs act and how owners feel, which has been proven scientifically. He takes it one (or five) steps further and it can sometimes feel a little woowoo but I did catch myself looking down at my dog, wondering if he needed a trainer or if I needed to get back into therapy. Don’t listen to this book if you don’t also read or are interested in self help books.

This is incredible reading for anyone who loves their dog and wants to understand more. Highly recommend!!

The story was good…. But I wanted to learn about dogs.

Got very tired of listening to the relationship the author had or didn’t have with his dad. I bought this title to learn about a dog’s perspective. I didn’t get that.🖤
