Long, drawn out, terrible ending

This story took way too long to get to the good stuff. There were definitely some unexpected, jaw dropping twists, but the ending was terrible in my opinion. The male narrator spoke with so much urgency, it was sort of annoying.

Such a great story

I loved the storyline and the narrators. It was a great listen and I recommend this book. I also enjoy this author after reading two of her books now.

Twists and turns

I loved this book soooo much! Only thing, for an American, when you have a character named Ellis and one named Alice, the Aussie accent can be a challenge. But Sarah Foster is an all time fave, and I love every book of hers.

Pretty good

Engaging story with a nice little twist. The ending was promising too. Female narrator was spot on but male narrator took some adjusting. His voice is very gravely.

Such a good story. Not predictable. I found it genuinely represented the role trauma plays in our lives and in our future choices. The author didn’t wrap everything up with a perfect ending, but the ending was authentic and satisfying. I really appreciate this author’s work!

Great Listen

Sara does a great job of showing how people bring their childhood into adulthood. How letting go is the only way forward in life. Another great book!!

On the Fence

Overall, I enjoyed this book...I think. I liked the characterization but the whole time I kept waiting for something. I waited for some major twist, or revelation, or SOMETHING. The ending felt very anticlimactic. The narrators did a great job. So like I said, I liked it, but it’s a very surface level like. Enjoyable to a degree but also a bit boring.

This is not a murder mystery

This was mostly a love story with a little turmoil. It was recommended as a thriller, but it was not very thrilling. The performance was great.

All Happy Families are Alike;

Each Unhappy Family Is Unhappy in its Own Way...
An interesting listen, though challenging to stay with at times. Toxic family relationships had me screaming out loud. But I always appreciate a twist I don't see coming and Noah's story provided that while Lizzie's I saw coming at the start.

Enjoyed the narration. Overall a 3.5 listen

Barely held my attention

the book was 85% romance and 15% mystery. I had this author down as one to read again, but after reading this book I will take her off my list. I did finish it, but I have to say I couldn't wait till it was over.
