All individuals have their own sets of unique skills that will convey both importance and reason to their lives. Genuine satisfaction and joy will keep escaping us until we utilize those skills to become who we are destined to be.
You Are Not Who You Were: Leaving Behind Past Mistakes and Regrets and Moving Forward with Joy and Confidence is a convincing inward gander at ourselves, which compels us to recognize our flaws and be willing to make adjustments in every aspect of our lives. It was created to help us make progress. Some of the topics discussed are:
- Let go of the old and embracing the new
- Change the environment
- Harness your inner power
- Life is full of micro lessons
- Take ownership of your destiny
- Move forward with joy and confidence
- Know your value - know your worth
- Confidence and inner confidence
Changing our perspectives of ourselves as well as of other people can have some influence over those we interact with in our immediate world. This adjustment in our rationale will help us to overcome adversities. It will demonstrate that in modifying our observations and viewing life in the present moment, we will challenge the orthodox stories about who we are today and the people we are equipped to be.

What did you love best about You Are Not Who You Were?
It was several aspects that gave me a deeper insight into my perspective. The author inclines you to leave the past that is holding you back. We make good and bad choices in life but the key is to grow from every experience.Who was your favorite character and why?
The author spoke of one experience that so reminded me of myself. It was how a passenger spoke into him something that was there all the time. You can have a gift and not realize what you have until someone else makes the statement. We have greatness within usWhat insight do you think you’ll apply from You Are Not Who You Were?
I will take embracing today. Tomorrow is not promised and like the author said you can't change the past. I will have more confidence and the areas that I lack I will have to put in the work.Any additional comments?
Great book and not overwhelming. It has a balance between ideas but also incorporating those ideasSteps to living your life now
