Steamy with excellent performances!

Luca is a 400-year-old Lycan gone half mad because he has not found his mate…until now. Ainslee is the young vampire/Lycan daughter of the Lycan King in Scotland and is ferociously surrounded by her brothers who are determined to “protect her” from Luca. Her overbearing family trying to keep them apart was frustrating, but the performances and back story kept me from pulling my hair out. Poor Luca! I really liked how she comes out of her shell to stand up for herself. Stella and Jason deliver excellent performances in this one with delicious accent work with Scottish, Romanian, and a few others mixed in there. John Harley also narrates some of the characters and that was a fantastic surprise. While this is not my favorite book in the series, the entire series is seriously hot and can’t wait for more stories in this world with such excellent performances and steamy hotness!

Loved Luca & Ainslee

An entertaining and hot fated mates story that I couldn’t put down. Ainslee and Luca were absolute fire. I love that strength that she has and how she wouldn’t let anyone get in the way of . Stella Hunter and Jason Clarke were amazing at bringing these characters to life and they both did incredible accent work in this. John Hartley was also featured in this audio and I enjoyed his performance and looking forward to listening his characters story in the next book.

Who doesn’t love a good story of possession with a wonderful HEA! Luca has been wanting his mate for many decades , and boom just when he gave up lost his damn mind in walks his mate !!! OMG! This is one helluva a delicious treat ! Luca will do everything to protect his mate and NEVER let anyone take her from him. Hats off to the Jason Clarke and Stella Hunter with special camp appearances John Hartley they nailed this narration!! Off to book 3

I hate the woman narrator

She sounds good and everything, I like her voice her accents but she doesn’t put any passion or flavor to her voice it’s like she is just reading

Beautiful and Erotic Shifter Fated Mates Romance!

💚 This book really made my heart swell with love! I was beyond excited to dive into Luca’s story. This four century year old Lycan had lost all hope of finding his mate. After looking for centuries he gave up, and let his inner beast reign supreme. Becoming more Wolf than Man. Then comes Ainslee, a delicate, much younger Halfling- hybrid being half Lycan and half Vampire. Luca immediately knows that this is his mate 100%, and has to have her, protect her, claim her. However, Ainslee’s family is not having an at all. Her father is the Scottish Lycan King, and she has triplet older brothers who are all- overprotective alpha males. They immediately take her way and try to keep her from her mate. They are scared Luca will hurt her from the madness they think he suffers from. Luca will do anything, level anyone who gets in his way of his mate. Even if that means war.
Jenika has the ability to draw you into this world of supernatural creatures, and how they all have only one goal in life. Find their fated mate. She’s so magnificent in the small little details making you understand these creatures. So romantic and so erotic!
This is narrated in duet by Stella Hunter and Jason Clarke. John Hartley also voices some side characters. Stella is just fantastic with her beautiful Scottish accent. She portrayed Ainslee’s delicate nature, but also her very determined, fierce, and stubborn side. Jason Clarke… well… again he amazes me coming up with even more new character voices. Jason got the lowest I’ve ever heard with his signature growl tone. I loved how animalistic it was when he was doing Lucas inner dialogue as his beast, but also when he was calling her his “Sweetling”, it was just so gentle and loving. John Hartley does an amazing job voicing the side characters. From Scottish accents to playing Ainslee’s brothers he was great!
I just love this deliciously highly erotic, very very intensely sexy, but romantic love story.

A consuming fated mates story!!

With every book I read in Jenika's Lycan series I get more obsessed with the world she has created with her Lycans and Vampires.

I've been reading this series a little out of order so when I finally got to book one and met Luca, I knew his story was going to be unlike any of the others. For over 400 years Luca has been without his mate. Roaming the world all alone just waiting for the day when he would meet her. This has made Luca start to become more beast than man and if he doesn't find his mate soon there is a real chance, he will be lost to his beast forever.

Everyone has heard stories about Luca and the insanity he possesses. They are all on guard around him. They protect their females even more than usual in fear that he will finally snap. On the night of his brother's wedding reception Luca recognizes his mate instantly. Before he can even speak to her his mate's family is taking her away from him. Luca will stop at nothing to get his mate including hurting those she loves.

Will he have to go to war with her family to get what is his or will he lose his life trying.

We all know that Jason Clarke is incredible. His accents, his deep voice and that growl!! You will be head over heels for him before he is finished uttering is first line. This book though really showcased the talents of Stella Hunter. I was captivated with her Scottish accent throughout the entire novel.

I really do adore this series and am eager to see whose story is going to be next!! I have a feeling I know, and it could prove to be even more enticing than Luca & Ainslee's story.

This is awesome, great book, wonderful chemistry. I love the 2 characters or the 2 narrators.

Scottish Brogue Duel Narration

Duel narrative with Scottish voices made this story come alive! Plot Twists /turns were exciting.

In book two of the Lycans series, we get Luca, a broody shifter wolf and Ainslee, a dainty vampire wolf hybrid’s love story. Their journey to HEA is a little bit forbidden, a whole lot of steamy, and destined to be.

Jason Clarke and Stella Hunter with John Hartley narrate this audiobook in duet. Jason Clarke is amazing portraying Luca’s crestfallen persona, and also his undying devotion to his mate Ainslee in a Romanian accent. Plus, he is fantastic portraying an overbearing Scottish father, and a sardonic cocky American vampire. Stella Hunter showcases Ainslee’s ethereal, delicate yet fierce personality perfectly in a beautiful Scottish accent! John Hartley was a great addition voicing Ainslee’s triplet brothers too.

Overall, I enjoyed this audiobook. If you are a fan of the Lycan series with a hulking shifter wolf who has been longing for his mate for four hundred years, a lively elegant vampire wolf hybrid, forbidden love, chases through the forest, overprotective father and triplet brothers, an understanding mother, an arrogant uncle, fated-mates steamy first times, and an HEA that make you believe in destiny, then you will love Luca and Ainslee’s romance. I always look forward to more from Jenika Snow.
