Resumen del Editor

True stories from the Soviet front lines in WWII.

War is no place for the weak. It takes its toll on everyone involved. The participants are never the same, nor is the land that is left ravaged by the brutality inflicted upon its inhabitants. The conflicts between the Soviets and Nazi Germany was no exception. Journey into some of the untold stories of the Soviet front in World War II as the Soviets fought for their freedom and their lives.

Learn about Germany’s master plan for the entire nation of Russia and how they planned to deal with the so-called inferior Soviets. Listen more about how the Red Army fought back and won. The cost was great, but the reward was even greater. Learn about some of the many battles that caused the Soviet Union to lose nearly 14 percent of their population. They fought back valiantly as the Germans invaded the Motherland, driving them back out of the country.

Listen about the atrocities that the Soviet prisoners of war were subjected to. They were some of the first unfortunate inmates at the infamous Auschwitz and the first to take a one way trip to the gas chamber. They may have been the lucky ones though.

WWII Soviet stories should be told more

In history, so often recent events cloud our historical lenses and cause us to interpret events and people that lived before us in the context in which we live instead of the context that they lived. Because of this, we must constantly remind ourselves to look back on history with open minds and a mindset of love and compassion. If you live in the western world, or indeed any country that sided with NATO or the United States against the Soviet Union during the Cold War, you probably have not heard many stories, if any stories, of the Soviet Red Army’s contribution against Nazi Germany in WWII. They are important stories to the historical record, and should not be overlooked simply because of recent political and economical strife between nations. This audio book tells some of these stories and does so in a simple and comprehensive way. The Narrator has a very nice voice to listen to and delivers this book in an excellent manner. If you want to learn more about Soviet involvement and contribution against Nazi Germany in WWII, I would highly recommend this book to you.
