Another wonderful story

I love every book in this series. The characters are so strong, loving, and supportive. The story line is well thought out and full bodied.
The only detriment is the performer. Although he portrays a strong masculine voice, it gets very monotonous sounding. He has a very repetitive cadence.

Maya Banks combines suspense, thrills and hot sex in everyone of her books. Wade and Eliza are steamy, once they get together.

Cheesy but love it

The narrator makes the book. I imagine he laughs after every cheesy, lovey-dovey, kissy- kissy craziness. I find it entertaining. I expect because that is the type of book in the series. Maya has other books that are different, more gritty and she is versatile that way which makes me enjoy all her books.

Intense

I couldn't put it down. It was so intense and hot. Great story line. A must read.

Perfection!

I enjoyed this audiobook so much that I stayed up quite a few nights listening to this series. The narrator, Jeffrey Kafer did a wonderful job of bringing the story and characters to life.

Not as much going on and very wordy

I love Maya Banks books but this one was very wordy. I ended up skipping through parts of their inner monolog because they seemed to go on for forever. I feel like there could have been so much more done with the villain in this story. It was ok in comparison to some of her other books.

not bad

The story line is a good one. This wasn't one of Maya Banks best books.

disappointing

I struggled to finish this book. The premise had me expecting a strong woman, but she ended up turning into a damsel in distress, with too much guilt and self pity. I did a lot of skipping forward to get past all her self pitying thoughts, just so I could get to the actual storyline moving forward. The author's KGI series is much better.

Martyrdom on Steroids....

This book really annoyed me. I generally enjoy Maya Banks books, but this one was just one long, boring martyr-fest. The majority of the book was Eliza repeating over and over and over how what a worthless monster and undeserving of love, friends and life in general because of something that happened to her as a naive 16 year old. And the love story...well you went from snark, snide, sniping at one another to "your it for me, the love of my life." Like, literally from almost one moment to the next. And don't even get me started on the caveman, chest beating, your my woman and you'll do as I say crap. Yikes. Best advice, give this one a pass and save your credit.
