Beverly Jenkins did it again. I absolutely loved this story. The history, her characters' truths...everything about this book holds your interest. Kim Staunton's narration was captivating also. The voice intonation were spot on. I felt that I was there in that era. well done!

It’s always a good day when I can enjoy a Beverly Jenkins romance! Sparkling dialogue, well executed plot, and dynamic characters make this a must read. Bonus for making me cry at the ending!
