Wicked Refusal

Lozhkin Bratva, Book 2

De: Nicole Fox

Narrado por: Heather Firth, Walker Williams

What’s worse: the man who doesn’t love you anymore, or the man who never did?

Three months ago, I made a deal.
One night with a Russian mobster for a million dollars.
It was supposed to solve everything.

Spoiler: It did not.

Now, I’m trapped in a nightmare with my abusive ex.
My son thinks I’m a liar.
And I’m pregnant with a baby whose father wants nothing to do with me.

All because I had to choose:
Tell Yulian Lozhkin the truth and watch my ex put a gun to my child’s head?
Or lie to the only man I’ve ever loved and keep my family alive?

I chose the lie.
I chose survival.
I chose my son.

But now, the past is catching up to all of us.
Yulian’s enemies are coming.
My ex won’t let us go.
And I’m running out of time to protect the people I love.

They say the devil you know is better than the devil you don’t.
But what happens when both devils want to destroy you?

What happens when the only person who can save you...is the one whose heart you just broke?

Wicked Refusal is Book 2 of the Lozhkin Bratva duet. Yulian and Mia’s story begins in Book 1, Wicked Proposal.

Great read

A little too many awaits and turns .. but a good read !!! Nicole always does a great job !!

Ok…

Good Story… Women narrator has a boring slow voice… And Mia is really a push over with everyone except with Yullian with him she is a b!+(h… I really don’t like her…

OmG so good!!

I had to wait for book 2 and it was totally worth it, SO GOOD! I absolutely loved it! Action the whole time, I was on the edge of my seat, the romance did not have a lull, ever! Of course there was angst, but there was progress the whole time. The characters are fantastic, I got super frustrated with the FMC, but she had reasons for everything she did. And you find out those reasons, and the consequences! The stories are so rich and so well developed you just can’t put this one down! I can’t recommend this series enough! 5/5 definitely recommend!!

Ending way drawn out

This story was really good, but the last 100 pages of constant roll-your-eyes drama was unnecessary. It should have ended with the 2nd killing of Desya, then epilogue. Everything in that parking garage was so over the top. It made me glad the book was finally ending, which was a shame since Book 1 and most of Book 2 were good.

Gripping

I enjoyed the story for the most part but I have to say that the main female character was beyond weak which became too frustrating. I am hard pressed to believe any real woman with such an ex would never be so tolerant.
