Hot second chance

This is a fast passed book about second chances where you least expect it. Kat and Alex fell in love as young teenagers and it just wasn't meant to be. Fast forward 13 years and they are adults and living life but for Alex he just could never let Kat completely go. Now he finds that she is in trouble and he is determined to save her. Kat is own her own so when Alex shows up after she finds herself in danger she is first determined she doesn't need his help but those feelings from long ago are still there so she finally agrees and it will lead her to a future she didn't know she had.

Jason Clarke and Shammen McCune and so good as Alex and Kat. I love listening to Jason and he does a great job with this book. This was my first time listening to Shammen and I enjoyed her voice. She did a great job telling Kat's side of the story.

I loved listening to this book and highly recommend it.

Let me start by saying I love this series. Now that being I liked the storyline, not my favorite of the series.
Jason’s narration was perfection (he’s one of my favorite) first time listening to Shammen it was a little difficult for me to sit through her chapters. I didn’t connect with her read, she wasn’t bad as Kat but her Alex, it was very hard not to skip a few minutes every chapter. With all that said & done I loved hearing Alex’s story.

Love this series and I love Julie Kriss!!! I’ve bought up everything she has on audible. I haven’t found a book of hers I don’t like yet. Clarke & McCune did a wonderful job. I’ve listened to a lot of books by Clarke but this was my first from McCune and I’ll be going in search of more of her work.

As for the story Alex was pretty perfect an Dominant Alpha Male who’s also tender and thoughtful. Swoon lol. Him and Cat’s chemistry was really something. Kriss got me every time she described how they just looked at it each other. What that look felt like. The only thing I wanted more resolved was Alex and Damon’s relationship. Maybe Damon has his own book in the future ???

Shammen McCune's voice is in a well sound.

I always enjoy my boyfriend book narrator, Jason Clarke. The story was intriguing and very hot.
I just couldn't get past the female narrative. Otherwise the story is great.
