Allegory of the cave and deep insights

I learned a lot about where society could be headed if we adopt the ideas of Plato. It's just a matter of keeping the masses in the dark. This was extremely well narrated by Cameron Scriven. Love the accent. The content itself was easy to digest. This was a very clear and easy to listen to explanation of Plato's work related to epistemology, metaphysics, and political philosophy. This author, J.-M. Kuczynski is my favorite. He is the renown and foremost scholar on these matters.

Brilliant insight and execution!

No pun intended, but the execution here only heightens the intensity of a major historical problem in philosophy:

Why execute those who can teach you the most about life?

Perhaps we'll never know the full reason, but this short, pithy exploration of the socio-economic conditions in Athens, Greece, ripening for political revolt, provide much material for a needed consideration and, in a sense, soothing of our consciences because we all participate in the execution of those who upset our social orders.

In fact, the execution of Socrates ties into the Cross of Christ. He, too, was executed in similar circumstances where the leading Jews were looking for an earthly, political king, but instead found a deplorable spiritual Leader who would not instantiate the revolt against a tyrannous Roma that they so desperately craved.
