There has been a major upheaval at Mount Weather. The president has been assassinated. Her running mate, who was her husband, is sworn in as president in order to preserve democracy, but in only a short time his behavior has put the Mount Weather community in a state of turmoil.

If that wasn't bad enough, Chinese soldiers have been discovered on American soil and the zeds, already an ever present danger, are continuing to show signs of cognition and teamwork. The motives of both are unknown but do not bode well for the survivors.

Brilliant series I want more

I absolutely love the characters in this series, the plots are excellent, I can’t wait to read more I’m hoping there will be another book coming out soon there’s so much that could carry on the series.
I lived this series so much I couldn’t wait for next months credit and just outright purchased the 7th & 8th book I just had to know what was going to happen.

This was so Good!

The narrator and author make a great team. I enjoy all the characters and the narrator has an amazing understanding of the author's intent.

Ok ok

So I gotta know what is the philly connection this Tennessee author has. As a Philadelphian originally from Delco I would like to request an anecdote in book 10 about Angelos cheesesteaks from the s philly guy at the Marcus hook refinery. I have worked in that building at Wharton . I so appreciate the accuracy and attention to details of locations. Now it was crazy he made the dec. pres elect and pres. “Liberals” ouch I’m just glad he didn’t make them from philly. Neither of them would have gotten past committee person here.
I literally went through this entire series in a week . I will patiently wait for book 9 audible version. Same actor please. I finally read the author’s bio. It all makes sense. I know my Dad would love this series.

Zach and Eve

You left me in a state of wonder. What happened to Zach and what happened to eve. Please tell me there is going to be another book or 10.
I really enjoyed the books

A brilliant series

So many characters brought to life with this series. What a wild ride.
Would have loved another boon to follow on about Eve.

To my surprise

I enjoyed this last book. I didn’t expect Zach to be back, based on the reviews i read. Im glad i didn’t follow the reviews and not read it. To me that’s a good wrap up and it leaves us with the idea that those good people Will choose wisely, their next president, and America will slowly but surely be built back with innovative minds.

I thoroughly enjoyed the whole series. I fallowed the author so if their is another installment I’ll know.

Ok...but

Plenty of action tying up the cliffhanger from the previous book, but it really left me wanting more Zach. That is, until Zach shows up. I'm then left with this feeling like maybe my love-affair with Zach is over. With his perfect recall, his perfect shooting, etc.
Graham Halstead nailed it as usual.

Politics as per usual

This was definitely more of a dramatized oriented approach to the story, not necessarily a bad thing. It was a nice change of pace. Still one of my favorite series.

Outstanding Author, Great Narrator

This is probably the best series of books written in the zombie genre and all 8 were well worth the money. One thing that I feel separates David Achord from other authors is the way he gives his characters such detailed descriptions, whether he describes their appearance or mannerisms, so the listener is able to visualize the characters better.

Graham Halstead really does a good job narrating each character with their own personality and accent. It really makes the listener feel attached the the characters.

Last but not least, this series does not just follow the same old traditional zombie-tale-structure and format. The Author really keeps the story exciting and is really evolving the genre.

Human Nature

It's sad that despite the constant positive things that people do. Let one selfish A-hole get into position to make changes based on their own agenda and people submit their support as if they didn't see all the manipulation in plain sight.
