Great story!

Lots of emotions as I was listening. I enjoyed the story and highly recommend it!

The reality of sisters and brothers

The book was great. What I didn’t like was how the narrator left long silence in her reading. It just seemed she wasn’t completely prepared. Otherwise, it was a good read.

Like all Karen Kingsbury books, I was unable to put it down (turn it off).

Too Much

I appreciated the reminder of how essential our walk with Christ is to our relationships and our ability to withstand the temptations of life. I thought the point of the story was a good one. I just felt it was too wordy. Too much repeating the same thing over and over. My first book by this author, I will try some of her other books.

the horror of war

I liked the character development and the characters' determination to make it through the war.

I love anything Karen Kingsbury writes. This is another great story. Christian author, moral storyline.

Family drama overload, but happy ending

I've listened on Audible to a couple other Kingsbury books and loved them. This one was free for me. The mourning of the Dad, the feuding among the siblings, both were depressing, long and drawn out. The book could have been much shorter. I had a hard time getting through it, but finished and glad I did as the ending was happy. The narrator was very good.

Secrets of the heart

Most of the book was very difficult to read because of all of the ugliness but the truths it revealed were worth the pain. Only the Lord knows our longings and sighings. Only He knows what makes us act and react the way we do. People are not mind readers and can’t understand our hearts unless we are brave enough to let them in.

What a Difference God Makes in our Lives!

I liked everything! Karen Kingsbury is a master storyteller! This book really stands out from the rest!
