I love Karen Kingsbury and have listened to many of her books. This one was one of my favorites so far.

If I hadn't adopted teens from foster care before reading I would do so now. It also dealt with depression which I struggle with occasionally. I highly recommend this.

I appreciated the way it was brought about that “even Christians” can suffer from deep depression, and that it is good to seek counseling and there may be a need for medication, the imbalance of chemicals of the brain are very real.
Grace and forgiveness is of utmost importance.
The faith of a child is so precious!

That God worked all things out for good in all the details. Maggie forgiving herself and Ben as Ben forgave Maggie’s lie and found Maggie’s daughter. John never was able to harm Ben, Maggie, or Amanda. Amanda was available to become adopted back in to the family.

Even in the midst of bad times, the little girl was sure God loved her.

This is a well written book. I finished the audio in two days! So good! The narrator, Barb Caruso, is excellent. She uses accents, etc. expertly.
