It starts slow but picks up quickly. I enjoyed it again and looking forward to listening to the next series.

One of the worst narration jobs I have heard. He made tough ex special forces guys sound like they worked at the local green grocers - the affected accents he gave every character were annoying and unbelievable. Quite good story otherwise.

story takes place in London. A little slow moving at times. Liked the characters especially the brother in Iran.

IMO, this would be a good “starter” book for someone just getting into the zombie genre.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

The author broke the golden rule of zombie books for me (and many others). A detailed scene about infants being eaten at a hospital, that is a big no go.

Yes, yes, I know in a zombie apocalypse this kind of horrible stuff and worse would happen.. but this is a book. I don't need scenes involving children or babies in detail, thanks. I'll be honest I never even finished the book and it had promise up till then.
