Gripping!

Rachel Abbott is a gifted writer and I have enjoyed listening to her books from the beginning. I really like the DCIbTom Douglass series and I highly recommend it!

Great plot and performance! Love Tom Douglass series and this is a great development of his story and set up for the next adventure. Looking forward to the next book in the series.

Bad Narrator

The story was good. I'd have preferred a more normal Tom Douglas story, but this one was all about Tom helping his brother. Hoping we'll get back to crime-solving, figuring-out-the-mystery sort of book in her next venture with Tom..

The narrator was not good. When listening to a professional narrator, I expect to be able to distinguish between charactors. That wasn't the case here. I couldn't even distinguish between male and female characters. Seriously, how do you get a job as narrator these days without mastering these basics? The narrator droned on monotonously. Although I enjoyed the novel itself, I'm glad to move on to another book with a different voice

Rachael Abbott writes good novels, but she usually doesn't get good narrators. I've noticed this regarding quite a few (most} of her books. What's up with that, Ms. Abbott? Do you not have any say in choosing who reads your books?

Monotonous

Hard to listen to because the one female narrator did all the parts which were predominately men. Hard to keep up with who was speaking. The plot was thin but took forever to get to and by that point I lost my interest. Usually really enjoy these characters and writer but I would pass on this one.
