This book was very positive and had a lot of good ideas and tips to use.

Very positive

It’s one thing to acknowledge there is or might be a problem. It’s something entirely different to discuss what to do about it and the book never goes there.

Lacking in detail

"Eating fat makes you fat", and other gems that represent a conventional ignorance, not science. And this is the problem with this book, it's entirely unclear whether what you are hearing is science and insight, or Dr. Seligman's opinions served with cherry-picked studies which may "prove" a point he wishes you to believe, because he does believe it. The lack of rigor in his arguments is disturbing, and the book does not live up to its title. Dr. Seligman has made an enormous contributions delivering his work on Positive Psychology, but listening to this "book" makes you wonder if the basis of that work can be trusted, or if it was 50% science and 50% wishful thinking.

Disappointing Ted Talk

Out-dated ideas with little support. Definitely not something I'll be using or applying iny life.

Not good
