great sequel

i love Maeve's narrations more and more.
there is certainly more work to improve but great start.
Brent is already a known name in the genre and it's good.

plot twist

this is continuation of a good story, the main character is slightly dark, but enjoyable. Maeve did another great work. story kept me on my toes, and looking forward to the third book.

Fantastic continuation to this story. I've really enjoyed how the story has evolved and how the characters are progressing.

Fantastic narrator. She does an amazing job with each individual character voice and draws you into the story.

A great book 2 in the adventure series!

Brent Tyman continues this great series right where we left our group. Fun adventure, engaging fight scenes, "love" scenes, and a plot that continues to move at a good pace. Ordan, the MC, continues to develop himself and his friends. His "friends" bring more to the story than just fun and develop themselves as well and the world around them. The story is well written and I look forward to reading what Brent has in store for us next! Audio Version: Maeve York continues to bring each character to life and the overall story.

Love the kick ass, take no crap from anyone MC. Definitely an enjoyable story, and not bad job worth a single narrator either.

Excellent as usual

I thought the first book was really good, the Brent hits us with this story. I am totally enjoying they way this story moves. I'm now tipping my hat to Maeve York for her performance in this series. Looking forward to the third in this series...now would be good.

A good continuation of the story

Brent Tyman has continued to give an excellent story. I enjoyed the all the characters new and old, seeing the characters grow and evolve, and the world building. Maeve York does another great job with the narration breathing new life into the characters and world. I hope we see more of this story in the future.

Keeps getting better

If the first book was "Conan the Barbarian", the second book is "King Conan". The MC is still a warrior at heart but is struggling but slowly learning the ways of politics and nation-building. I'm excited and looking forward to book 3.

Overall, it was a fun series.

The series was pretty fun. I liked the characters and their stories. I liked the fights and their nuances and innovations. The narrator was also awesome.

The only real thing I had an issue with was the story itself. Maybe the flow…
I just had issues finishing it. I don’t even think it was bad. I just lost interest personally. So my rating won’t be lessened due to my own personal experience since it isn’t quantifiable.
