Enjoyed listening to the Audio Book with the Hardcover

I really enjoyed listening to the audio book while reading along with the hardcover. The way the author read it was great and i think I would have missed out. Had I not listened to her reading it while looking at the beautiful illustrations.

simple but important acts

The book didn't explain the significance of these people. Simple explanations of important historic events in American history but needed more information about why the acts shaped America. Clear and simple language that even young people can understand, just wish it went further.

It’s like a motivational speaker for children ✨

Sharon shares the lives of “ordinary people” who did extraordinary things just when their actions were needed. I predict this will become one of the kids gifted books. It will make a perfect gifting companion to her first book “the small and the mighty” - think mommy and baby gifts for a baby shower or winter holiday gifting for parent and child. I found myself in the book because she puts each of us in it!

LISTENING to Sharon read it out loud takes me back to first grade with Mrs. Laird who read books to us after lunch and recess to transition us back to learning. It was my favorite time of every school day. 💫
