Resumen del Editor

Beaches, sun, and swimming was what Whitney thought she'd get when she moved all the way across the country to the Atlantic Coast. It was a chance to start over, a fresh start outside the paranormal night human world she grew up in. She was ready to be a normal human; one who didn't have to worry about drinking blood or all the fighting that went on in that world.

Perfectionist Sam did everything well. He protected his family and friends as he swore he would. He had jobs to help everyone survive while they hid in plain sight. He even taught swimming lessons. His life was perfect, at least until Whitney showed up in his town. Without thinking of the consequences, Sam makes a choice to follow his heart for a change. That choice changes everything, maybe for better or for worse.

After one year of getting used to her new reality, Whitney discovers that maybe she was never meant to leave the night human world after all. Deciding to take swimming lessons, she is paired with the high school hottie, Prince Sam as her friends call him. That one decision changes her life, and she's quickly thrown right back into the night human world she thought she was getting away from. The only question is: can she survive going back?

Cute YA books

Very good books, really good for young adults. the performance by the narrator is okay. Every once in awhile the audio quality goes in and out also sometimes like in the way background of it you can hear like kids?

Mixed bag

If you like mermaids it's fun to read about this world. For a teen novel is about on par with most; very formulaic and predictable. Knowing that, it is certainly better to listen to than the radio. The narrator is obviously new and still has allot of work to do on consistency and and cadence. Over time and with more opportunities she will surely improve.

Book = Love, Narration = Meh

Would you consider the audio edition of Water and Blood to be better than the print version?

No not really

What did you like best about this story?

I love the idea of "night humans" as a whole not as just seperate tales

Did the narration match the pace of the story?

Pace yes

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

She thought she was done with thar world, what will happen now that she is a Night Human again?

Any additional comments?

The narrator sounded like she was holding her nose the entire time. It almost made me hate Sam because in her voice he sounded less like a hero and more like a whimp
