Kept Me On The Edge of My Seat!!!

The build up is worth it!!!! The narrator gave an incredible performance. I loved the big reveal and was on the edge of my seat during the suspense & action scenes! They were written and read so well!

Loved the Build Up & Narration!!

It's been AWHILE since I've read horror, and this was the perfect way to ease back into it. i loved this story and the narrator Jacci Prior was amazing! I'm so glad I picked up the audio!

Best Book Ever!!

I have loved this book since the first time I read it. it is my go to book when I what to be scared. I am beyond excited I now get to listen to it whenever I want. Jacci Prior's voice brings the story to life. 10/10

The narration was absolutely excellent, keeping me engaged from start to finish. The story was thrilling, with suspense that had me on the edge of my seat. The ending gave me goosebumps! it felt incredibly real, and I don't scare easily! Haha.

I highly recommend giving this audiobook a listen. I enjoyed it both as an audio experience and while reading it on KU, which made it a great combination! 🤗

An addicting listen!!

A cunning monster is lurking in the darkness biding his time to strike...
This one started slow with setting the story but once it got moving it was SO good! The character is such a relatable character and I couldn't help but root for her and for the officer as well since he has a story that is revealed. Such an addicting listen thanks to the narrator, Jacci Prior. I really felt like Jacci embodied Jessica's character very well. The tones and inflections used were spot on. I binged this one in a day. It was that good!
Will Jessica survive or will she be it's last slaughter before the monster vanishes again?

Love the narration!

The story was enjoyable. Not my typical genre but still a fun ride! Jacci Prior did an excellent job with the narration and made it even better!

So good! So exciting! And I’m not a usual scary story reader!

WHAT A TWIST!

I absolutely loved this book! It was definitely different from my usual read but I am so glad that I took a chance on it. The twist was shocking and I thought that the lore development was well done. The narration was fantastic and sucked me in from the first chapter.

Lackluster

I shouldn't have gone with all the glowing reviews on this one. the story is...fine. It's hardly the mind-blowing, amazing story the other reviews lead me to think it might be. It was formulaic and void of twists. I didn't find the characters all that interesting personally and very cardboard. The police officer had about 4 things to say that got repeated through the whole book. I'm also BAFFLED with how many people love the narrator! I feel like maybe I would have enjoyed this one more if I'd read it myself. This narrator has a strange cadence and nasally way of talking. Not to mention the "man" voice she puts on is ridiculous. I'm sorry to go on and be negative but I just really didnt like this book. It's probably fine if you dont read much horror and like a simple story. I definitely had issues with other aspects as well (the animal can no longer smell its prey because its inside and can only smell itself?!) but I've beaten the dead horse enough.
