the battles are getting epic, the politics more real and the magic reaching new levels if your at this book keep reading because the book was epic and you will enjoy it further.

Keeps getting better

Really been enjoying the ride the author takes you on. I really love the dialogué between the characters.

Fun and enticing

This is a well rounded story with fairly equal character development among many different characters. I have enjoyed the story so far, and am looking forward to the climax of this adventure.

I was so sad when this book ended! Love the story. Love the characters. I hope the next book comes out soon!!

Another star in this series

Very well done and continues to build out this world. I notice a couple threads hanging that I'm sure will come out in the next book.

Thoroughly enjoyed

This was a wonderful addition to the frozen flame series. The narrator did an excellent job of the pacing character. The storyline was well written, and well enjoyed. Thank you.

I love the series and am eagerly waiting for book 7 (torrent) and the prequel awakening to be released on audible

Great story and pacing

This book was AMAZING! I especially missed my orc friends cargan and shaluk whilst seeing them diplomatically making peace. Vortex had me constantly on the edge and looking forward to the next listening. Paul Bennett, you deserve all the flowers for this amazing series. Definitely, would love to see his series in a film format as it could become the next great fantasy genre!

I want to love it, but some parts make it hard…

I fell in Love with the characters, which is one of the reasons I’ve continued on through the series.

However, I strongly dislike how short each book is and I feel that’s because it’s mostly to gouge its readers out of money.

Now for the book itself, great plot and likable characters. However, I can’t stand the numerous repetitive phrases; then why don’t you use your powers for this and oh yes that’s right, why didn’t I think of that. Also, the incessant reminders of I’m a mage, we elect our leaders, have you forgot…etc. there’s a lot more.

In closing, I really have enjoyed the storyline up to this point, but I’m starting to wonder how much more of it I can take.
